Porn induced ED no gains from doing PE?

Porn induced ED no gains from doing PE?

Hi all, I’ve been reading a lot about porn induced ED recently and think that there may be a correlation to those who can’t get proper wood without porn and those who can’t gain.

For those gainers, could you tell us if you needed porn to stay hard enough during PE?

For me, yes.

Edit: I don’t reput myself a hard/no gainer though. But wouldn’t the correlation stand both ways ?

Marinera, I guess you just debunked my theory. I was just thinking that most gainers can get it up easily without visual stimulation. I was reading somewhere erections are caused by different things when it is “natural” compared to porn induced ones.

Curious to hear more though.

Most need visual stimulation, either a real woman, a memory, or media.

Whether porn induced E.D. Causes a lack of growth when doing P.E. Is an interesting thought though, and one that needs exploring further.

I never understood the porn detox but I may start for the first month of PE I only watched porn couple times a week and that would be the only time id masturbate, and I got good gains the first 5 weeks. But then I said will it can’t hurt if I masturbate once a day and I actually think it may hurt it in the fact I don’t get as hard as I did in the first month.

Not really a signature but a link to a great guide Newbie Routine Steady Progress Chart.

I think porn detox is for someone who really can’t get it up when dealing with a real person. I don’t think I fall into that category but was wondering if I should just be able to get it up without any help from porn when doing PE especially on days when there doesn’t seem to be much libido.

If you can’t you can’t.

There are so many other factors that can contribute to low libido.

I use porn when I PE. I do not believe that it hurts anything or leads to ED.

I believe there are those that aren’t adversely affected by porn, but a large majority of men become incapable of achieving an erection with a real woman after consuming enough pornography and it ruins marriages as a result.

I’ve had problems with this recently and was, humiliatingly, unable to get it up in a recent sexual encounter. It’s particularly bad because I’m young, early twenties. I went off porn for a few months straight earlier this year and relapsed with watching porn about once a week for the last month or so, but I’m stopping again now. I think that it has really long term effected my ability to get super hard or even hard at all with real girls because I started on porn pretty young, would sometimes watch it a lot, and did not have a sex until I was 18, so my developing years involved a lot of porn and not real stimulation, which has a powerful effect on how the brain is wired. My hope is that if I really don’t watch it at all or masturbate or even have too many pornographic type fantasies for a few months it will be back to normal. I’ve done some reading that says it can take 3-9 months or longer if you’ve started from a young age, and that the more strict you are with staying off of it the sooner normal erections will return. I relapsed because I wanted to make sure that my penis still worked and that I wasn’t getting PE induced ED, and yep, it got super hard as soon as I watched porn again, so it’s definitely psychological for me. I’m super frustrated by this and really eager to get off of it, but not so keen about being unable to get erections for a good part of my remaining college career :(

DON’T LET YOUR KIDS WATCH PORN OR HAVE PERSONAL COMPUTERS WHERE THEY HAVE PORN ACCESS, SERIOUSLY! It will mess up their brains, potentially for life!

Also, if your testosterone is lowered from porn masturbation (it does that…), and you can’t get hard without porn, and you don’t get regular erections throughout the day or even morning wood because of it, then you’re gains may slow because those regular hard erections flood the penis with blood and cause it to expand and stay healthy.

BTW I also have pretty serious problems with social anxiety, depression, and penis size anxiety, all of which can lead to psychological ED, but the fact that the porn brought my erections right back indicates that I’m psychologically dependent on it and that it is the main culprit for my ED. If I could recommend you do anything PE wise it would be to stop watching porn entirely. A PE’ed bigger penis does no good if you can’t get hard.

I get criticized occasionally here for my views regarding the damage porn does to the quality of sex with real women, but this is a classic example of what I’m talking about.

My boys are 15 and 18 and are probably in a similar boat to you given that their mother allows them unfettered access to the internet (better than “wasting” her time with them so she can search for another asset slave) and so I wish you luck now that you know what you need to do to Mittens.

Mittens, if porn brings your erections back, than that would sound like the medicine not the illness. I mean, maybe you are right and porn is bad for you, but the deduction you just made only disveals that you think porn is bad and that will become, at least partly, a self-verifying prophecy.

As side note, some people which suffers of depression & c. find 5htp really helps.

Thanks for the advice, but you have missed my point entirely. I don’t want only porn to give me maximum erections, I want them without it, and I’ve read that the intervening porn detox period to take you from one state to the other normally involves a few months of few to no erections while your brain rewires with real girls, but it is regardless still the solution. More porn to get the dopamine fix (porn is basically addictive becasue of this) to lead to an erection now is not what I need for long term normalcy to return, but just it’s opposite.

I started watching porn and masturbating at the age of 13. I didn’t even get my penis touched by a girl until I was 16, but during those 3 years, I would get boners from thinking about or talking to girls. Especially at dances, during a grind I would be raging hard the entire time.
Is this a psychological issue? Yes.
Does it mean no kids should be able to watch porn? ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Just like the guy who burst a blood vessel while doing PE. He probably had the circumstances for it to happen (ie weak veins by genetic defect).
Some particular people are simply more prone to certain psychological disorders.

My kids will get internet porn at 12-14. Whenever we have the talk.

I feel obligated to strongly advise you not to allow your kids to watch porn, especially at a young age. If you must, allow them softish-core pics in magazines like playboy, but not the unlimited variety and massive visual and audio stimulation that is internet video porn. The worst case is a kid who, initially unsuccessful with women, begins to think something like “no matter, I’ll simply retreat to porn use, and thereby deprive women of their power over me,” only to find years later, when he wants to and is able to have sex, that he cannot because his dopamine receptors in his brain have been overstimulated by an unlimited stream of multiple tabs of big dick, busty blonde orgies in HD with women and positions and acts that in no way reflect reality and which a real girl will not measure up to. It is very important that their adolescent brains be wired to sexual stimulation from the smell, taste, touch, sight, sounds and pheromones and other hormones of real women.

Also, without exposure to porn, your boys will be more eager to experience the real deal and approach real girls because they can’t see naked girls otherwise, leading them to develop, long term, more assertive, dominant, alpha type personalities that are sexually confident and familiar with how to approach women, instead of betas doing their math homework in between bouts of internet porn and self-pity/forever alone status updates. Sorry to get almost comically graphic there, but I want to drive the point home. This is especially important if your boys have naturally introverted tendencies (which could occur even if you are extroverted, of course). If you are old enough to have kids you were probably not exposed at a young age to the kinds of intense, unrealistic, close-up, full shaved, hardcore HD porn that exists now so you may not realize the potential psychological danger.

Finally, how can you know that your boys won’t be one of those with the natural predisposition to porn induced ED? Porn is also potentially able to give your boys ED-causing small penis anxiety, even if they have above average members, simply because their personal visual sampling of other men’s erect penises consists entirely of porn dicks.
