Picture of my infrared light

Here is a picture of my infrared light. Please move it to the correct location, I can’t created new threads in the member pictures area.

I bought all the components at home depot. The infrared bulb is a 250 watt bulb which was way to hot, so I installed a dimmer switch on the power cord. The home depot here did not have the 150 watt bulb, only the 250 watt.

The bulb was $10
The dimmer was $12
The blue electrical box was $1
The extension cord was $8
The drop light was was $8
The grip clamp and paper towel holder was stuff just setting around and was not being used.

So I have around $39 invested. Not to bad.

Takes about 5 minutes to warm up and I can use it during PEing.

Nice light. How effective is the warmup?

Neither does the finish on his desk. ;)

Its faster then my rice sock. But the best part is it continues to provide heat while the rice sock would cool down.

Also, I do not get the strange looks from the wife when I heat up the sock in the microwave. She did not like it.
