I’ve been doing PE about 2.5 weeks now on the Newbie routine and don’t get a nice full hang either. I actually seem to shrink back to normal flaccid within 15 minutes of finishing, but I don’t always get to 200 Jelqs either. Jelqing is so boring and desensitizing, plus I can never tell if I’m gripping firm enough or too firm. I’m a tad over average on girth though so I’m not so interested in that as getting the length first, I can always do girth later.

I’m gonna chalk the hang up to genetics as I can definitely feel myself slowly getting bigger, harder for sure. I can imagine after a couple days you wouldn’t see jack, I sure didn’t.

The truth is jelqing takes a little time to really master; it’s an interesting balance of arousal vs. pressure, and for some it takes a while to really get in the zone.

Boring though it may be, it definitely helps to improve overall circulation and erection quality.

I also get the feeling, AimingForTen, that you are under the impression it is primarily a girth exercise. It is not. It helps with both length and girth. The most accepted theory is that if you jelq with less of an erection you are favoring length, if you have more of an erection you are favoring girth, but regardless it is a “whole penis” exercise if you will.

Some guys hang fuller for a long time after jelqing, some for only a few minutes, regardless of how long they have been doing it for. For most though, after the first couple of months, some of the natural elasticity of the penis is reduced and the fuller hang lasts longer.

If you have a naturally high amount of elastin in your collagen, you may never have a long lasting post jelq fuller hang, and your flaccid size may not increase as much as for some people, but you will still gain erect size.

I’m 7 weeks in, and find that my flaccid size pretty much returns to normal during the warm-down. It stays fatter if I put off the warm-down for a few minutes, such as when getting ready for a shower after doing PE. I think it’s better to not be looking for much in the way of dimensional changes until after several months of dedicated PE. Even now, I’m still getting a better feel for my stretches and jelqing.

I’ve been jelqing for 12 months now and have added about 1/2 an inch in girth and 1 1/4 inch in length but only about 1/4 inch when flaccid so I shouldn’t worry about it, I just think it takes longer than erect gains.

Alright. Thanks for the criticism. Next time I make an apology and admit that I was wrong, can you be a little more accepting? That’s all I ask. Maybe I should read between the lines better, because it seems at one point you have an attitude and on the next line it has completely reversed and you are eerily nice. Eh, I guess the way I see it though is that you assume I expect miracle gains. I know if I were you having to deal with tons of newbies come in here and say “um.. I just did my first workout and haven’t met my goal”, I would probably get pissed at them. I guess you aren’t that kind of person, so I had a false perception about you that is fixed. You are Mr. Happy.

And I’ve been doing edging for a while now. I didn’t know it had a name though. I used it to train myself to last longer. Also, if I am about to climax but don’t want to finish yet, it also helps train your body to make the feeling subside faster and stay away longer. I don’t know if it actually helps but hey if it works as a placebo and still allows me to get the job done then I am happy with it.

Calfaddict. Good advice. I’m seriously just gonna stop looking at or caring about my penis size for a few weeks. I haven’t taken a ruler out yet but not looking at it for the right reasons would take it one step further. Then in a month, I’ll look down and have King Kong chilling between my legs.

Where do you get I’m not accepting? I was making an observation: you tweak easily. If you tweaked less and relaxed more you’d feel better. You’d also be easier to talk with.

I don’t need, nor am I looking for, an apology. I’ll make deal: no apologies unless one or both of us is out of line. That seems fair.

That’s just the lighting. I use the same guy who did all those Lon Chaney and Boris Karloff movies (he’s really old, but he’s a pro). You’ll get used to it.

I made a huge assumption that you are impatient. And apparently showed a lack of sensitivity by deducing you’re overly-sensitive. I wonder which of us will get over it first.

As far as newbies go, there are degrees of impatience.

I think you began this thread speculating about ‘gains’ that you believe you have almost immediately. Those being the post-jelq flaccid. You seem to have been expecting immediate results, yes. Not permanent ones - I can see that - but results that were different from your perception of what was actually going on between your legs.

My position is that you should accept that the effect you are having is normal. It looks like you have. Well done.

And I don’t get pissed, a little weary (and apparently eerie) perhaps. I have a long fuse. Serious lines have to be crossed before I get pissed. If I ever do get pissed you’ll be 100% sure, I promise.

But even then I’m a reasonable man.

If you really want your penis to explode I recommend a couple of M-80s and Bic. As an added bonus, you’ll probably get to go the front of the line in most emergency rooms.
