Question: How critical / dangerous is performing PE without the 5 minute warmup/warmdown ?
Question: Does it hinder gains to masturbate on days off?
Question: If I am having trouble staying less than 100% erect while doing jelqs is it a good idea to squeeze one out before PE?

From one noob to another.the warm-up is über-important. I recommend getting g a thermipaq heating pad (can get it at Walgreens and it stays hot for a long time).

As for question 2, the masturbation connection is not conclusive and is indeed speculation.

Q1: Can be dangerous, 10 minute warm ups are better
Q2: No, it did not hinder mine and I jerk off a lot.
Q3: It is only necessary to be 60% erect.

I don’t know if this is what the amazing and wonderful kingpole meant, but I would say it’s necessary to be less than 60% (between 30% and 50%) erect when jelqing. Any more than that can be dangerous for a newbie. If you can’t be that erect without jerking off first and can be that erect afterward I would say to jerk off first.

I managed to avoid injury without warm up til I started experimenting with clamping. You probably won’t hurt yourself if you’re just jelqing, but I have to tell you, now that I’ve started warming up properly, I’ll never go without it again. The equipment does seem a little more elastic, and I feel more confident that I won’t get terrible bruising/discoloration.

My advice is to try to fall into good habits before you move on to more serious exercises.

Please don’t skip it,it’s just too risky to not warm up before you workout/exercise.

Goal: 8"nbpel x 7" A one eyed monster by any standard :)

Warmups don’t harm gains, they may help with gains and they decrease the risk of damaging tissue. Warm tissue is more pliable.

No downsides except five minutes. The upsides are a lot bigger than five minutes.

1. I don’t think you will get an authoritative answer quantifying how critical/dangerous is skipping warm-up. Everybody will advise you to do it. It seems safer, like with any other type of body work-out. I do PE for almost 6 months without warming up (no time and intimacy for it) and have no complaints. Anyway, I always do mild stretching and rotations (instead of hot wraps) to drive away the tissue rigidity before beginning the work-out.

I love the warm up. It’s like putting on a nice warm shirt right out of the dryer, except it’s even better because it’s so nice and warm on your cock. So relaxing.

That must be a cold weather saying. I live in southern San Diego and I’ve never heard anyone say how nice a warm shirt out of the dryer feels. :)
