If any of you have stayed up late and seen the late-night commercials for the exercise program P90X, then some of you might be thinking the same thing as me.

Can’t we train our penises in the same way?

It just seems common sense to me that, if you can train skeletal muscle to be ripped in 3 months, you can train smooth muscle to do the same.

Some might point to the newbie system, but I think there’s got to be more than that.

1.) “MUSCLE CONFUSION” - Jelqing, Stretching, Kegels. I work at a gym, and most of the trainers I know don’t train the same muscle 2 days in a row. So, for example, if we trained 2 days on 1 off, we wouldn’t do jelqing 2 days in a row, just like we wouldn’t hit shoulders 2 days in a row. However there are staple exercises.

2.) STAPLE EXERCISES - Hitting your “core” in exercising is like the zenith. That’s why doing crunches and such is a mainstay everytime trainers hit the gym. I think kegels might be just that. Our PC muscle could be considered the “core” - if trained properly can effect prostate health, erection health, etc.

3.) DIET - If you’re supposed to eat properly for your body, why not for your dick? I’m not a urologist, but I’m sure posters smarter than myself would know which vitamins and minerals are mainstays for penile and prostate health - Lycopene, Zinc, Arginine, etc.?

4.) DEDICATION & INSPIRATION - Hatha Yoga and encouraging instructors keep trainees “focused” in the P90X program. I’ve come across audio tapes online, essentially deep sleep relaxation PE. I shit you not. “You have a big penis…you have a big penis”.

How about a Thunder’s motto?

Or just constantly reassuring yourself. Really focusing on the exercise; removing outside distractions (that’s why you see most of these P90X amateurs doing it at home - no social distraction.)

Sorry for the long post, just wanted to share my thoughts on how PE involves more universal aspects than we think…

And since we’re all here already, I would think we’d want to maximize and energize.

This is a major misconception, mb: you can’t enlarge your penis like you enlarge your biceps when you work out in the gym.

The penis is not a muscle: it’s an organ.


You build muscle, you deform structure with PE, the two are not strictly the same.

And btw, most body building I know suggests you work 2-3 muscle groups per routine, with rest days between.

That said, your points on nuitrition, dedication etc I believe are good principles.

Strongly agree with the Dedication/Inspiration. However, I would like to modify it to Diet/ Lifestyle. You may have a healthy diet but you could negate that by doing other things. I also think exercise is important.

I am still very new to this but I don’t see why the idea of PE cross-training wouldn’t work. I don’t know why we plateau but if it’s because of our adaptation to the stress from PE then maybe alternating routines from time to time may be safer than raising the intensity. I think I read one post from Mr. Bib saying he hung 40lbs from his dick. Now that just scares me. If I can avoid that and still gain then all the better.

I’ve also been wondering about the types of stresses that could be used. When I was a mechanic we learned about the main stresses that parts endure(tension, torsion and sheer). Jelqing and ADS provide tension, V-stretches and O-bends are similar to sheer stress, and some have proposed a slight twist in ADS or jelqing which would be torsion. I’m still pretty far from being ready to test this out but hopefully the combination of those exercises could minimize plateauing.

I believe stretching everyday of the penis with no beaks because ligs and tendons will retract when not continually stretched. To cause deformation of them, where they no longer go back to there original form.

This means you must go past there normal stretching point for extended periods of time.As in Martial arts I used to be able to jump in to a full split from stretching every day when I used to teach class. I was super flexible, now since it’s been years since then and no real stretching only before workout really quick. I can no longer do this but I must have deformed them some what from doing it so much back then that I still can stretch farther than any normal person I know.

Case in point if you know who super foot Bill Wallace is when he walks it looks like he just got off a horse because he has been stretching his groin ligs and tendons for the last forty years every day and the tendons and lig will never go back to there normal length he has deformed them. That’s why I think his kicks are so fast. He kick me in the head at a martial arts seminar in 95 all I saw was a flash of his foot whacking me in the face not hard but fast he wasn’t trying to hurt me just show his speed. The tendons are so stretched out they just allow his kicks to shoot out with out any thing stopping them.

As for jelqing I think you should have rest day to prevent injury.

Don’t change your PE workout till they stop working for you.
