So after I use my static stretcher, sometimes I get this slight instant of pain. Pain = Bad, correct? So I should just take it easy for a few days?

Depends. Is it skin pain or deeper? Stretching skin can hurt, but isn’t necessarily dangerous. If the pain is deeper, perhaps a small break or less traction might be good.
