I used to have this problem a bit, more often though I’d lose some hardness. Before PE my erection pointed almost straight up (parallel to my torso), so it was quite a bend when a girl was on top. My routine consists of pumping, which pulls at a 90 degree angle to my body, and jelqing, which I tend to do pointing downward. This routine has lowered the angle of my hard on a little and increased my range of motion while hard. Now I rarely have any pain and stay harder, which is great because my girlfriend loves to ride. Maybe you could tweak your routine to increase range of motion.
