Pain in Shaved Base while Jelqing

Hello everyone. I’ve recently started PE again. I’ve never had any gains. I recently purchased a Bathmate and am doing a jelq / Bathmate routine. I use coconut oil for jelqing. 5 mins warm-up, 5 mins stretching, 5 mins jelqing, 10 mins Bathmate, 5 mins jelqing, 5 mins cool down. Everything goes fine except I have pain in the base of my penis when I jelq due to recently shaving my pubic hair. It feels really sensitive and gets really red and irritable. I have to shave in order for the Bathmate to suction properly, but is there any way I can prevent this pain?

Are you shaving against the grain? Try clippers instead of shaving it completely smooth.

Yes I am. That will take a significant amount of more time but if that’s what it takes then I’ll do it. Thank you!

Shave with the grain for a few months after you’ve let it all grow back.

Is this the first time you’ve shaved your package? I think there’s a bit of a learning curve for shaving such a potentially sensitive area. If you do try it again, I’d recommend:
A good quality razor. I like the Schick Hydro 5, and since that’s what I use on my face too, it’s convenient.
A good shave gel. ( I use Aveeno Men’s naturals-hypoallergenic)
A good body lotion after. Again, Aveeno for me.
That keeps everything smooth and show-room shiny and it only takes a touch-up a couple of times a week.

You could also put some Neosporin on the area when you’re not PEing. Like at night when you sleep.

I pluck everything on the shaft and then use clippers everywhere else at a 1 or 2 guard. Razor only used on balls once in a while.

Since I switched to plucking sex has been 10x better.
