I’ve been doing PE for 3 weeks now. I was doing it wrong (the jelqs) the first 2 weeks. This last week I’ve been jelqing and doing the newbie split correct but I started stretching 10 minutes and jelqing 20 mins (overdoing it I think for starters).

Should I just take like a week break and start the newbie split from the beginning? Or?

When you say you were doing it wrong, do you mean your technique was bad? If so, how? When you say you were jelqing for 20 minutes, how many jelqs did you manage and what was the duration of each jelq? What indications do you have that you are overdoing it aside from knowing that you stepped outside of the newbie routine? Do you have visible injuries? Does your penis feel sore/uncomfortable?

I was jelqing one hand and bringing it back instead of using two hands, so my technique was bad. I was doing about 300 wet jelqs in the 20 minutes, so about 4 seconds a jelq. I think that my penis was too erect while doing the jelqs, it got up to 90% sometimes during the jelqing. I have a few tiny red marks on my penis so I don’t know if that’s normal or I did them too erect.

The red spots are common, especially as newbie. When doing dry jelqs it’s entirely reasonable to use one hand for a certainly number of strokes then swap to other. As long as you kegel between jelqs to maintain pressure. With wet jelqs the alternating hand strategy tends to make more sense to me. Being that you’re a newbie, I’d recommend waiting for the red spots to clear up then starting again. As long as your penis feels fine that is.

300 jelqs in 20 minutes isn’t overdoing it in my opinion. Consider that the newbie routine calls for 200 jelqs in 10 minutes. Spreading jelqs out over 20 minutes would indicate to me that you were putting less strain on your unit than you would have been if you had have used only 10 minutes for the same number of jelqs.

Again, if your unit is feeling fine aside from the red dots, wait for them to subside and get back into the newbie routine. The more accustomed your unit gets to the exercises, the less you’ll see the red spots.
