Numb Penis!!

Hello - This is my first post.

This seems to be a pretty knowledgeable
forum and I hope you guys can help.

I have been doing PE for a little over 1
year now. Jelqing 3X/week (15min) and
300 kegels/day

I have seen small but steady gains and am
happy with them.

Not long ago, I started jelqing with more
pressure and while 80-100% erect and
found that I gained alot faster! My last
session I must have been to rough with
my jelqing because 4 days I woke up
feeling numbness and cold on my penile
head!! It scared the hell out of me. Not
being able to fully feel your member
between your legs during the day.

I am able to get an erection during the
night and when I wake up I am hard but the
erection is weak and goes away fast.

What happened? Is it a nerve? An artery?
Tissue damage?

How long t’ill I feel it again? Did I do anything
permanent?

What is the best course of action right now?
Should I lay off all PE, sex, masturbation? What
about kegels, are they still okay?

I am in a panic mode as it has been 4 days already
and it has not improved. I didn’t do anything during
the 4 days. It feels like I’ll never get it back.

Any input would be appretiated.

thanks

mopek

You have damaged a nerve but it will heal. You should stop jelqing and stretching, but continue to kegel and hot wrap to promote good circulation. If you feel like it sex and masturbation should be OK, but don’t use hard pressure jacking off. Getting hard promotes good circulation and that is good. Finally, stop panicking and and relax with a nice hot wrap. It will get better.

I had/have this same problem… am taking time off to let it heal. Seems to be coming back slowly, but it’s been almost a month. I seem to remember that peripheral nerves rebuild at about 2mm/month, so it may take awhile.

mopek,

Yup its a slow healing process, don’t agravate it while it recovers.

Is it only jelqing that you were doing?

The most fragile area in the penis is the top side of the shaft in the centre, where the nerves are close to the surface. Right behind the glans (top center of the shaft) there is a major bundle of nerves. Did you pressure these these areas?

Thanks for your replys so far!

So:

- Getting hard and warmth (anything that brings blood into it) is good. So trying to get an erection a few times/day is good.

- No more aggrivation. No jelqing, masturbating or sex for awhile. OK.

Memento: I only did jelqing and kegels. Kegels don’t do much in terms of pressure or damage so it must have been the jelqing. I would do about 15-20 minutes of it 3x/week . Lately it has been very forceful with 100% erection. When I jelq, I put my forefinger under the shaft and my thumb over it….so yes, I did put alot of repetitive pressure on the top of the shaft right before the head. That is how I learned to jelq. The report I read about jelqing did say to jelq at about 50-80% erection only and not TOO much force but after a year of that I thought … ” I can go harder , nothing is wrong so far” … and the harder I went, the better gains I saw, the harder I went etc….

Does this heal to 100% ?

If it does, is it now more “fragile” meaning, will it be easier to damage in the future? Kind of like an old knee injury.

It is now 5 days - I am feeling a slight tingling now. It is not pleasant but ‘ll take any feeling over no feeling.

You should get back to 100%, it will just take some time. Maybe try jelqing overhand grip, with the webbing between your thumb and forefinger going across the top of the shaft. I don’t like doing it that way at all, but it is safer.

mopek,

What Philadelph said and try to stop the stroke a little before the end of the shaft (or make sure the pressure is mostly on the sides of the penis).

I would think you can get away with sex and careful (ie not rough) masturbation while it heals.

>If it does, is it now more “fragile” meaning, will it be easier to damage in the future? Kind of like an old knee injury.<

Thats a good question. I don’t have the answer to it though. Things like veins will happily repeatedly breach in the same areas but nerves are different I think. I don’t think they are particularly tough in the first place in comparison to other tissue in the penis.

Tingling is a great sign.

Report:

It has now been exactly 1 week since my last jelqing session and my penis becoming numb. When that happened I would say that it was not completely numb but about 75% or so. That would mean I had 25% sensitivity.

After 1 full week of not touching my penis (except for hot wraps and just holding it to bring circulation) I would say that it is now at 50% sensitivity which is encouraging. The erections are a bit stronger too.

I will probably have to not touch it for about another 3 weeks to make sure and then “maybe” do some light jelqing. Thanks for your suggestions above about jelqing without pressure on the top.

I am more relaxed but it is still scary.

mopek

Glad to hear you are recovering, and at a good rate too.

Yep, sounds like your on the road to recovery. You may surprise yourself and heal up completely within the week. Now you know to be careful.

I hope I do recover within a week….

My girlfriend is so busy so she hasn’t really missed
sex but she is starting to wonder why I haven’t
initiated….I’m afraid to even do that now.

mopek

I’d be surprised if sex is a problem if its fairly gentle and normal (if you wear a cock ring and repeatedly slam your dick in a door as foreplay then maybe not).

LOL

No that’s not foreplay….

I just don’t want to do anything to slow the healing and/or aggravate the nerve.

That was just so funny mopek.

I know you are a little worried at the moment, but good to hear you are getting back to normal. I had a pretty bad experience, similar circumstances, different symptoms, same result, I try to forget it ever happened and I am much more careful as a result.

BTW mem’s got a thing about doors. The cock ring element is new. Next time I use a door knocker, well, suffice to say, I’ll probably have a stupid grin on my face when it is answered. Thanks for that mem.
