I used to hang well after a jelq session now he tends to curl up in a ball am I doing something wrong? Also when I stretch I pull downwards because I feel this gives the best stretch is this the case


You may be using too much force . If it is curled ,and may be hard. then you need to lay off the routines for a week or so,. to let things relax .

When you re-start do take things easy. Gainss come more quickly when you use moderate pressure and strength.

I never had good flaccid hang after a workout and it hasn’t stopped me from gaining.

Did you change anything in your routine? If it used to be better than it is now, you might be overdoing it. Sometimes even the smallest changes in your routine count. My EQ decreased after I increased number of dry jelqs by only 10 and amount of manual stretching by only 2.5 minutes. I then decreased it back to normal and EQ immediately increased to where it was.
