Hello guys ,

For the past few months I was doing the newbie routine , in fact today is exactly my third month 😎

The problem is I dont see any morning wood , this is driving me crazy because im YOUNG , im only 18 and i have been with this problem even before i started PE.

First i thought ig was because of the PE but it isnt , i took breaks of a week and a week and a half and oit didnt get better , although i remember that a few nights when i accidently woke up i felt my dick hard like metal rod , the erection was so strong it was almost painful.

This led me to think , well maybe i just dont wake up with an erection because i get them all night long , but now even when i wake up at night during my sleep i dont have any erection .

It is driving me crazy , i think to stop with the PE again for a week and go to a doctor , the number of times i get a morning wood or feel an erection at night in a whole month is … i can count on 1 hand (!!!).

If anybody could help me i would really apreciate it.

Hey buddy! Don’t worry about nocturnal erections. If you are getting erections during the day you are fine. Erections during the night are you body’s way of getting blood circulating to your penis. Doing PE exercises like jelqing does the same thing, just don’t over do it.

Drinking a lot of water before bed can help trigger morning wood, but mostly because urine build up on the bladder while you sleep triggering pressure on nerves near your prostate to your hypothalamus gland which controls your erections. PE can help increase the amount of morning wood but don’t worry about it.

If you feel concerned about it and are not having regular erections during the day, the I’d say go see a urologist.

Are you pretty stressed or not getting enough sleep, drink a lot of coffee/caffeine, not eating right, drinking too much alcohol, highly sexually active, doing drugs, jerking off aggressively? These could lead to not having regular erections, or so I’ve read.

I live a pretty healthy lifestyle , i drink a lot of water , no alcohol from the start of the year , no marijuana for the past couple of months , i didnt use any drug since march , i dont jerkoff ive stopped with this along with porn (i have an orgasm once or twice a week accidently when i edge)
I supplement with zinc magnesium calcium and vit a , i dont eat any junk food, i also exercise 3-4 times a week
, i also dont stress a lot and i drink coffee only once a week if i even drink it
, about the sleep , i try to sleep 8-9 hours a night but most nights i end up sleeping 7 hours .
And thats what stressing me , i cant understand what the problem may be.

Sometimes very tired throughout the day , and also have a hard time falling a sleep so i supplement with melatonin.

What is an erection self-test?
An erection self-test is a procedure a man can do by himself to determine if the cause of his erectile dysfunction (ED) is physical or psychological.

It’s also known as the nocturnal penile tumescence (NPT) stamp test.

Why is an erection self-test performed?
The test is done to confirm that you experience erections at night. Men who have a normal physiological erectile function experience an erection during normal sleep.

According to the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center, the average healthy pubescent male will have between three to five spontaneous erections a night, lasting 30 to 60 minutes each.

Physical, emotional, or mental problems can lead to ED. This test helps determine if your ED is caused by physical problems.

The test is considered outdated. There are a variety of ways that it can be conducted. More reliable tests, such as NPT testing using a RigiScan, are now available.

How to prepare for an erection self-test
You’ll need to buy four to six postage stamps. The denomination of the stamps doesn’t matter, but they should have dry glue on the back.

Stamps are the most convenient option, but there are other alternatives. If you don’t have stamps, you can use a strip of paper. The strip of paper should be 1 inch wide and long enough to go around the penis with a little overlap. The paper can be secured with a 1-inch piece of tape.

Abstain from alcohol or any chemical sleep aids for two nights before the test. These can prevent erections. You should also avoid caffeine to make sure you have a good night’s sleep.

How an erection self-test is performed

Change into briefs or boxer brief underwear before you go to bed. Take enough stamps to circle the shaft of your penis.

Pull your flaccid penis through the fly in your underwear. Moisten one of the stamps on the roll and wrap the stamps around your penis. Overlap the stamps in the roll to ensure they’ll stay securely in place. It should be snug enough so the stamps break apart if you have an erection. Place your penis back inside your shorts and go to bed.

For best results, sleep on your back so the stamps aren’t disturbed by your movement.

Do this three nights in a row.

——Results

Check to see if the roll of stamps is broken when you wake up in the morning. You could have had an erection in your sleep if the stamps are broken. This could indicate that your penis physically functions properly.

——Risks

There are no risks associated with an erection self-test.
