I like the idea of sugaring since I heard sugar kills hair. Now, I’m not so sure it’s entirely true because Robert Smith of The Cure used sugar water to keep his hair in place and he still has a full head of hair even 30 years later.

My girlfriend usually removes my pubic hair with tweezers, pretty time consuming but kind of nice. Usually watch some tv-shows while she does it. The ingrowth stops after a couple of times.

And by the way, I’ve removed all my pubes with an epilator once, it hurt like hell! Not something I’d recommend.

The laser works very well. My exwife had her bikini area lasered and it was SMOOTH.

The epilator will be the worse mistake ever but IF you insist on trying it PLEASE video and post it up.

I shave with a razor and for the undercarriage my Girlfriend handles that.

How about the home use lasers? Any idea on those?

I’ve done the laser as well as my wife. I highly recommend doing that over anything else. I shaved at first, but I couldn’t stand it growing back. I also got the red bumps so I couldn’t shave but once/week. We’ve hit up the nudist resorts before which is what got us really into doing the laser (grooming is just as important down there as anywhere else). The feeling of our bare skin on each other though is awesome and we never have to worry about the other being prickly. When I was searching for a place to go, not all of them would do that area on men. Some had some ridiculous excuse that it’s not good, yada yada yada, but that’s just bs. They just weren’t comfortable doing it.

We also have one of the at-home lasers (Silk’n SensEpil). I got a good deal on it when it was on groupon and figured why not. We figured we’d used it to do touch-ups or little spots where hair randomly grows. We honestly haven’t noticed that it does much and it just sits in the closet now. Also, with that tria, it only does a few hairs at a time and the point on it is small on there, so you’re going to spend hours using it. Plus it has a finite amount of pulses. After that, it’s trash (ie don’t waste your money).

Check groupon, there are always incredible deals to get it done professionally. Just check the fine print as to the areas that they’ll do and call if you need to. I personally paid full price but got a couple other areas done at the same time, which all came with “lifetime guaranty” (very small price to pay for treatments after the 6th one). I’ve done 8 treatments so far. I haven’t done any touch up shaving in over 2 months and am as smooth as a baby’s bottom. My wife always does the groupon deals and is still adding new areas that she’s getting done. Light skin-dark hair is best and you can’t be in the sun anytime near a treatment (they say 2 weeks before/after).

Oh, the professional laser doesn’t hurt nearly as bad as the at-home ones either. The reason is because it also has some cold liquid that it uses to shoot a puff of air on every pulse. The at home one is torture (once you turn it up to the higher settings). I can do a couple of pulses on random hairs I have, but I had my wife do a larger area on me once and it was not fun.

I just shave the balls every other day. Only takes a minute.

Thanks for the tip on the Tria - about the pain and the limited life. Was highly interested in that, but don’t think I’ll be blowing my money on that now that you shared.

To the OP: if I’m not mistaken, I believe all the NoNo does is singes hair. It doesn’t kill the follicles like laser.

I just got a NoNo and have been using it for about a week. It does singe the hair but does seem to leave a stubble so far. That may go away with more use as it should singe very new hair before it becomes even visible.

Frankly I’ve always relied on waxing as not only does it remove the follicle but what grows back is fine hair that takes quite a while to get back to an annoying state again.
