Hi! I’m here to encourage by answering “yes, jelq works” buddy. Works good since you put the due effort on exercises and do not get so worry about fast gains. There are NO instant gains or fast ones. Give your partner time so it can get used to the routine and have in mind that growth, both length and girth (particularly girth) may take a loooong time for you to notice that. After three months I’ve increased well, more length than girth, fact, but I’ve increased.

My first month was null, just like yours, but I kept on the road. Try to do the same, after the 3rd month of training come back and tell us about your progress. Remember to perform the exercises the right way in order to assure such growth you desire so much.

Been on here a very long time, thinking I have tried almost everything now, been a very long frustrating journey as I am definitely a hard gainer and
every tiny millimeter of gain has meant hours and hours of frustrating time. But now finally I am actually gaining, but this is me, it dose not mean it
will work for you.

1. You have to be extremely patient, if you find yourself in the hard gainer category, or realize that often quick newbie gains are just your dick being swollen
from being beat up and no real gains. ( Like pumping seems to do a wonderful job of)

2. Be flexible in your approach, if your not seeing gains from a certain technique or routine after a few months time, this approach will not work for you.
As they say, insanity is doing the same things over and over again and expecting a different result.

3. If all else fails try Hanging, I did not gain until I started Hanging and this is true for most guys it seems. Especially if you have ligaments of steel like I do.
To make your hanging easy in the beginning invest in the ride-stretcher, this to me made all the difference in the world as it makes it so easy to get going
on hanging and well worth the $75.00 or so for the device, nope I don’t sell these.. here is the link to buy one.

4. Read the entire site, learn as much as you can before you hurt yourself, vacuum hangers can cause discoloration of the glans and I personally don’t believe they can grip the ligs well enough
to cause any length gains, that has been my personal experience, maybe your different but I sure wasted a lot of time trying something that did nothing.

5. Don’t give up! Just be flexible and will to change things when they don’t work for you!

Wow that thing looks painful. Although it seems it’d be easier to point an ir lamp at it since most of your dick is exposed. With the bib it looks like your dick isn’t as accessible for outside heat application depending on where you place it I guess.

An IR lamp wil still heat up the blood in the exposed parts, which will carry heat to the tissues covered by wrap.

Got to agree with this above anything else.

Seems like a lot of fellows on this site seem to do routines even if they don’t work, when realistically you can find so many different ways to PE on the Internet you can never run out of ideas.

I didn’t even really do the newbie routine. Just work out what gives you temp gains (For me it was ADS and very light weight (1lb or less) hanging for long periods. Run with what gives you temp gains, and then work from there. It might mean you get length before girth or vice versa, but it is like with bodybuilding; you start off eating loads of food and doing compound lifts just to get your body going. Worry about where it is going after you’ve got yourself over the mental hurdle of seeing those initial gains.

For 15 days your didn’t see any result yet! Well you are just getting used to jelqing, I gain half inch in 6 month in girth from jelqing only, and newbie routine, relax nothing will come in one night after 3 month you may see some gains. Good luck,

After reading the original post an idea occurred to me. Perhaps we should change the name of the “Newbie Routine” to “Basic Routine”, “Main Routine”, or “Basic Foundation”, etc. The term “Newbie” can be somewhat down-puting so people feel compelled to get pat that title.

I read so many posts stating, “Okay. I’ve put in the required 3 months, now what?”. It seems like guys are racing to finish the trial period so they can move on to more risky techniques. I’ve been doing the “Basic Routine” for 2 years now, and don’t see myself stopping it anytime soon. It is the core of my PE. On days when I don’t have time for anything else, I still make it a point do some stretches and jelqs.

My apologies for ranting but it really is a good routine.

As to the original question, when I very first dabbled in PE some years ago, jelqing was all I did. I had never even heard of hanging, clamping, pumping, etc. It happened by accident. I was cleaning out my spam box when I saw an ad for a PE website, someone trying to sell the secret of jelqing. I did some research on jelqing and applied it. After a few months I began to see results. It was more in the way of girth than length, but there was some length none-the-less.

Does everyone gain from the “Basic Routine” ? Perhaps not, but then there are people who don’t see gains from the above mentioned activities either, and of course, there are those poor unfortunate people known as hard gainers. One month of ‘no gains’ is not enough time, however, to classify your attempts as failure.

I doubt the routine will get re-named, but you make an excellent point about it being the core - and another by observing people racing to finish the trial period.

Eventually people do seem to get the message that PE is largely a marathon and not a sprint. Guys like you, who get it, help bring that point home.

Jelqing will give you more girth as a rule, because as a rule folks tend to jelq with a substantial percentage of erection. At the beginning a lot of folks do it with a full erection - I was certainly guilty of that mistake. When you do it that way, you’re really doing a manual form clamping (of a sort), and are risking injury. When you jelq with a lesser erection percentage it’s becomes more of a stretching practice, and length is more likely gained.

For the record the common recommendation is not to jelq with more than 80% erection. Ideally you want to find a sweet-spot for yourself between 50 and 80 %.

Properly done, though, it is a good overall practice because it does target your gaining in a variety of ways. I think it can really improve EQ in addition to any gains, if done properly without too much force.

Excellent point.

My experience here, though, is that the “Basic Routine” routine is responsible for the most gains for folks overall. Hmm… I wonder if my perception is on par with others. Maybe an idea for a poll thread.
