Hello all, just registered not too long ago, glad to finally have an account here. Just few questions, please forgive me if any of this info would be found else where. I started the new newbie routine that you off at 10-20 jelqs without streching for the first week and upping it up by 10 for every 3rd work out. I’m on that routine 2 days on 1 off about to head into my third but I will keep it at 20 because I want to start kind of slow. I kind of used to masturbate alot just a very bad habit, had alot of sex with an ex of mine as well. She moved away now and we stopped having sex. I noticed during those times when I was erect it would not be 100% erect, I’d feel it be around 80% or so. I’d have to flex it to make it hard and well before it never used to be like that. I’m sorry let me keep this short.

Could it be I overmasterbated? I used to do it just about everyday
Would adding kegels into the routine help me reach the full potential of my erections?
Since I’m starting nice and slow just about how many kegels should I start off with, would 50(5 second hold) kegels be good to start with?
Do I do kegels flaccid or erect? Would either have more positive effect than the other?
Could overdoing kegels do any real damage?

Well, I am a newbie also. I am not sure how kegels effects on erection quality (EQ) but I have done them as it says in newbie routine. I did it first exactly as in newbie routine here at bottom this message. Then I started do kegels at the same time I was warming down at the end ( I do this by putting my unit into a cup of hot water and press it against my pubicbone (or skin) ). Now I do kegels when jelqing. I have to say that I am not even sure if I do Kegels right but I think it´s the muscle contract that pushes blood to penis. So I think it´s logical to do kegels when jelqing ´cos you are pumping blood to where it should be. Also I have some problems to keep hard on while jelqing ( I am 34 years old) so kegels help a bit in this issue.

Maybe also mine erection problems are due too much masturbation. I usually masturbate 1-5 times a day, and even more than 5 when hangover :) So I practically masturbate every day. Even today when I suddenly happen to have sex with a lady, wow. I am a single, but it just happened with a girl I have been seeing couple of times.

Maybe someone else knows more concerning your issue or there is already information in these pages. There is so much information. Best luck to your PE career.

The Newbie Routine

1. 5 minutes hot wrap
2. 5 minutes manual stretch (ten 30-second stretches)
3. 10 minutes of jelq (two hundred 3-second strokes)
4. 5 minutes hot wrap
5. 50 kegels of five second holds each

Schedule:2 days ON / 1 day REST.

I am kind of in a similar situation here. My erections seem a bit weaker, but I have been having sex more than twice everyday, and have always masturbated a lot. I want to resume my PE and hopefully improve my EQ.


Was (july 07): 5.25 nbp (5.9 bp)X 4.5

July 10 :6.15 nbp (6.65 bp)X 4.8

Goal: 6.75 nbp (7.1 bp) x 5.1 Final goal : 7.25 nbp x 5.3

A heavy sex & masturbation schedule can impact your EQ negatively - regardless of any PE activity.

Your body needs time to recover, if you don’t let it then it never does and starts to function progressively poorly.

If you are doing the Newbie routine, and following it accurately, it won’t be the culprit. Compulsive sex and masturbation is most likely why your EQ is not 100%.

Given the choice, I’d cut out the masturbation and just have the sex and the PE. :D

So far I’ve cut out the masturbation, though it’s kind of tempting when doing a session. So far my session is:

5 minute warm up(hot water, rice sock)

15 second stretches every direction(Not really a fan of this so I’m not really focused on it)

20 Wet jelqs

5 minute warm down

50 kegels(5 second hold)

2 on 1 off

It doesn’t say to do the kegels in the new newbie routine but I do them because I am hoping they make my erections more harder.I still find myself not being able to keep my penis about 85% erect during jelqing and I’m only doing 20. The first 10 would go fine but after that my penis seems to just get less and less erect. Is it ok to finish the other 10 even though it’s getting softer?, it doesn’t go back to being fully flaccid, just lessens and hangs more. Today was my 6th workout and I haven’t increased the jelqs yet because at the moment I have a hard time keeping my penis 80% erect to do 20. I’d have to keep porn on my Phone while I’m doing this I’m thinking it maybe could be a mental thing? It’s like if I am not horny or watching porn my dick would go from being fully erect to very soft in a matter of seconds. It’s kind of annoying really, I am hoping that by sticking to this light routine I can get harder erections along with a stronger penis. As for gains I want those to but I am not rushing it. Anyways thanks for those who’s responded to the thread, I am hoping for some more responses to keep me motivated.

Well, there is kegels in the post I wrote before and thats newbie routine is from Thunders place. I also did 100 jelgs at first but then stopped counting because it disturbes concentration. I do it by time 10+ minutes, not counting how many jelgs I do.


Start 20.4.2010: BPEL = 6.6 EG = 4.3 EGB = 4.8

Current: BPEL = 6.9 EG = 4.7 EGB = 4.9

Goal: BPEL = 7.5 EG = 5+

If I were you, I would concentrate on finding the ‘sweet spot’ with your jelqing practice.

A little better than half-erect is fine, once you fall below 50% erection level, the jelqing practice starts to be a low level stretching exercise. This is tricky, because you need a certain level of arousal to make the exercise really pay off.

High levels of erection (such as 80%) while jelqing will tend to encourage girth more so than length, that’s fine if that’s your goal, but the caveat is that high level erections are more difficult to sustain without re-stimulating yourself from time to time. The challenge in that is that it then starts to become somewhat masturbatory and you may lose your way with regard to PE; you want to make sure that you are exercising and not just jacking off.

So lower levels of erection while jelqing are somewhat easier to accomplish as the need to re-stimulate oneself is a bit more infrequent.

You will doubtless have to experiment so you can find your own personal sweet spot with regard to getting the most of out of the exercise. This is one of the reasons we recommend that you follow some variation of the Newbie Routine for several months: there is a learning curve and you will need time to sort out how these practices best apply to you.

I don’t mean to say that you should cut out masturbation. I’m generally opposed to extreme measures.

Again, you want to find your own personal balance; masturbation is a normal part of our sexuality and there’s nothing wrong with indulging in it from time to time. But if you’re doing PE AND having sex with a partner AND masturbating a lot, you will doubtless get fatigued sooner rather than later.

As I said: it’s about finding a balance, and again it’s part of why we recommend doing the Newbie Routine for three or four months. You want to understand the exercises and how your body responds to them - while you live your life.

In regards to kegels, I think you can do them any time. Newbie, veteran, rest days or whenever. I don’t think you can really overdo them either. I have personally done kegels as much as possible and find it a great exercise on the commute to and from work.

I have not started a thread on it but on the other hand, is a downside I have found to kegels. When I get them right and am consistent, I have mad erections at night. So much so, I have trouble sleeping. It’s kind of like your muscles act as a natural clamp.
