Hello TP, long time newbie and lurker.
For the past 2 years I’ve had a GF and sex was really good so I felt no need for PE, but now I’m single again and on the journey of self-improvement that I (sadly) abandoned a little while being in a relationship.
I started the newbie routine, jelqs and stretches. And while stretches actually made me gain very fast, the jelqs massively hindered my EQ to the point that after just a week of jelqing, my erection was like 70% hard for a month (needless to say I wasn’t dumb enough to continue the routine after seeing my EQ diminishing). I did everything by the book, have read a LOT and have come to the conclusion that jelqing just maybe isn’t for me.
Before anybody says I’m not doing something wrong, I verified over and over again that my pressure is not too much, form of the palm and angles used were just like I read in other gainers threads and saw/read in guides.
Now on the other hand, I was clamping with my hands (holding the bottom and top of my member, squeezing it full of blood) for a very short period of time (2 min’ max at a time), it did improve my EQ, extensively (I’m at the top of my game - 20 y/o now. And I was once walking half the day with my morning wood after a hand-clamp session.), I’ve seen some short term MS-EG gains, but they disappeared after a few days.

Now my question is, should I try more serious clamping regardless of being a newbie? The hand-clamping (is that ballooning?) worked good, so maybe more serious clamps will give me some perm’ gains? And has anybody encountered my problem with those jelqs?

TLDR - jelqs are BAD for me, “clamping” with my hands is good for my EQ and give temp gains, should I try normal clamping despite being a newbie?

Most people would get the opposite results from those exercises but we are all different. The ‘hand clamping’ is not ballooning. Ballooning is something quite different. That said, the injury potential of proper clamping is high even after 3 months of newbie routine, and without a long enough consistent routine you cannot learn how your penis responds to various levels of stimulus, nor can you condition the blood vessels etc. to take the pressure generated by clamping.

At least clamping with your hands is controllable. Just do that instead of jelqing while doing the newbie routine. If you are going to get permanent girth gains from clamping, you will get them from hand clamping just as easily but far more safely. I’m sorry you can’t seem to make jelqs work for you; they are still the best exercise, with so many other advantages from their use. But if hand clamping works, use that for at least a couple of months before trying normal clamping. That would be my considered suggestion for you.

I will point out the obvious, do not smoke. Cigarettes= bad for EQ and maybe, MAYBE could slow gains.

I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago, but happened with stretching for me. I had a psychological ED but the very next week my unit was full back to normal, even better erections and morning wood and things like that. I believe most of injuries of newbies like me who try the best not to overdo are just imagination. Perhaps your case is the same.
