Hi everyone, I recently injured myself by going to hard and not realizing that I should start the newbie routine. I now read the newbie routine and decided when I am healed I will start it. It says 10 minutes of jelqing (200 jelqs) and to gradually increase to 30 minutes of jelqing over the 6 weeks. Does this mean I have to get to 600 jelqss by the 6th week? Adding 80 jelqs (4 minutes) a week?

At 3 seconds for each pull toward the glans, that would be correct. I’ve gotten to 28 minutes and no where close to the one per 3 second count. I have a tendency to take more like 4-5 seconds.

Experts, is it best to keep the count at 3 seconds and try to get the 600 in 30 minutes? Or, is it fine to slow it down and get a lower jelq count?

So it takes you 28 minutes to do 200? So are you increasing my slower jelqs or more jelqs? I’m so confused

week 1: 200 3 second jelqs (10 min)

Week 2: 210 4 second jelqs (14 min)

Week 3: 270 4 second jelqs (18 min)

Week 4: 264 5 second jelqs (22 min)

Week 5: 312 5 second jelqs (26 min)

Week 6: 360 5 second jelqs (30 min)

Thanks I was looking more for the newbie routine information about how many jelqs

Well, the idea is to start with 10 minutes, and make each pass no less than 3 seconds. Work up to 30 minutes by 6 weeks. I think you can decide what your increase will be daily/weekly depending on how you’re feeling. Personally, I went up two to three minutes every 2 day workout - but, that’s me; your increase may be different. The idea is just to get to 30 minutes. However you decide to get there is between you and the way your penis is feeling. Capisci?

Did you make gains? 450 seems like quite a bit (4 seconds a jelq).

Learning to jelq and stretch well is learning how your penis responds to every other method of PE you will try in the future. Jelqing and stretching are by far the most important PE exercises. People often want to rush into clamping or whatever else but after all these years you see guys like me telling everyone that jelqing should be part of every routine, and you see marinera doing threads on ways to improve your stretching - that may tell you something. :shrug:

One of the great things about jelqing and stretching is that you can feel exactly what is happening in the tissues of your penis as you do them. If you really focus on the feelings, you know intrinsically when to push it and when to back off, when to do more and when you have done enough etc. That carries across to all other PE exercises and makes sure you get the best from them.
It’s about learning to feel. Often slowing down your jelqs or slowing down the time it takes to get to full stretch lets you feel what’s happening much better. You learn much more. The optimum speed of jelq is the one at which you feel the movement of blood; where you feel the tissues expanding. At different erection levels it will change. On different days it will change! You have to learn how to feel or your will never do effective jelqs, stretches or anything else.
Decide to do X minutes PE and don’t count numbers. Focus on quality not quantity. Get it right at the start of your PE ‘career’ and it will carry thought to everything you do and save you wasting lots of time not getting results.


Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. And the ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth.
