Newbie Routine Jelqing Erect Level: Defining "too high" "beyond 80"

Newbie Routine Jelqing Erect Level: Defining "too high" "beyond 80"

This is a weird topic coming from me of all people, who previously couldn’t keep jelqing going for more than 2 minutes. Well, as happened with other people, I persisted and persisted and finally seem to have cracked it so I can more or less go consistently without having to stop at all.

That’s just great, right? Right?

The thing is, I now am quite frequently elevating from a decent jelqing erect level to a zone where, in my mind, I’m dangerously near the recommended 80% limit—and sometimes probably beyond it.

I feel like this guideline is vague, and I’d be grateful for some more guidance. Is there a way to more precisely characterize what is “too hard”? What about the way dick “feels” in my hand should tell me to let the level drop a bit?

Any help or advice greatly appreciated. It’s these sorts of predicaments that make one realize just how important it is to start with the most basic of approaches and routines.

I haven’t looked at the newbie routine in a long time by I’ve always conceptualized 100% as pressure akin to torture and 0% as gentle masturbation. Based on that, it’s reasonable to find some level that exerts real force but not discomfort.

My true recommendation for newbies is to start lightly focused to a milking motion that creates some swelling/bulging that is pushed up during the stroke. Over time it is very easy to find a pressure level and number of reps that creates a little fatigue (like going to the gym) without hurting you EQ. The percentage/description will vary for every person.

3/5/13: BPEL: 6.875", MEG 5 5" (max goal BPEL: 7.5", MEG: 5.75")

Thank you for your answer. I suppose pressure is just something you get accustomed to over time.

I don’t think I was clear enough in what I asked. I’m confused mostly about defining an 80% erection. How does one know if their erection level has gone beyond the 80% ‘limit’? What does the dick feel like if it’s too hard for jelqing purposes? I mean, 100% hardness is obvious, but just how different in feeling is an 80% boner?

I like my penis to be somewhat firm yet still malleable such that your grip causes bulging that you can push along the length of your penis with the stroke. The 100% erection you want when having sex with your partner is NOT what you want when jelqing (although some advanced PE-ers will do erect jelqs).

Are you using a standard OK grip? That tends to put a lot of unnecessary pressure on the CS and glans and can do so even at full erection.

I only use a U grip to apply all pressure on the CC and really target the tunica. When erection level gets too high, jelqs basically become impossible because the penis becomes rigid on the sides and the jelq is nothing more than a massage, being unable to squeeze blood down the penis. That’s when I usually do a few squeezes or other girth exercises until it subsides.

Basically if you use a U grip its near impossible to hurt yourself due to a high erection (unless you’re just trying to) because the erection halts the exercise, while you can harm blood vessels and such with high erection OK grip jelqing.

I think you’re right on with this. I found this advice in another thread relating to mushroom head expansion. I’ve been only jelqing the sides and I feel like it’s really thickening up now and WAY less fatiguing than with the standard OK grip. I can do it much longer and if anything it improves my EQ. Very glad I changed technique as you suggested.

I tend to use the OK grip and rotate it for half the routine with 90 degrees
(so the actual force for your grip is applied to the sides).

In regards to erection level, if I go into the higher percentages (75-90%)
I tend to loosen up my grip and focus on my base a bit more since it’s
lagging behind. Do some deep breathing or whatever else makes you
calm down again and then continue onwards on lower percentages.

Also how much less trauma are you talking about? E.g. from a few red dots to almost none or how should I interpret this?
