Somebody posts this exact “injury” every couple months here. You just tried clamping too soon. It’s not permanent, and it will have zero effect on your EQ as you age.

You’re perpetuating it by continuing to analyze it. Take a few weeks off and re-start PE (if you still want to) with a slower progression.
If you play baseball, and you get hit by a pitch in the hand, and you can’t play for a week, do you blame yourself and start to make this thought loop of “I fucked myself up playing baseball, my hand will never be the same again, baseball is too dangerous to play, all future joint pain in my hand is the result of that one time I played baseball, it’s all my fault, why was I so foolish?”
No. You take a few weeks off, your hand heals, and you start playing again. Same thing here. Don’t overthink it.
