Newbie gains slowing, help me tweak my routine.

I’ve been doing a modified Newbie routine for the last 3 1/2 months. I do 10 minutes of manual stretching and 10 minutes of wet jelqing. I’ve been going 1 day on 1 day off(I was 2 on/1 off but switched after I realized I was probably overtraining). I have had good gains so far, but they have slowed recently.

Now, my questions; Should I go back to 2 on, 1 off? Should I increase the time spent stretching and jelqing in each workout? Other options I have not considered?

I want to get as much advice and input as possible from other PE’ers before I make a change. All help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Just a quick question for you if you don’t mind. What sort of gains did you get over the 3 1/2 month period?

Moresize,

Gains after 1 month; .25” BPEL, .33” EG
Gains after 2 months; .5”BPEL, .5” EG
Gains after 3 months; .7” BPEL, .5” EG
No gains in past 2 weeks.

Now, don’t get me wrong-I know full well that these are good gains and that I am fortunate. However, I also want to keep the gains coming. If I’m gaining steadily and then those gains stop, I need to change something, you know?

OK. Let me get this straight. In 3 months, you gained .7 inches in length and 1/2 inch in girth, working out for 70 minutes/week. (20 minutes every other day). According to my calculations, you have spent a total of 45 hours devoted to PE and have gained almost 3/4 of an inch in length and 1/2 inch in girth.

Sounds pretty sketchy too me as most people would take a year to have gains like that and have to work much harder. In fact, posts like this are probably infuriating to a lot of people who have put a lot of time and effort in for a fraction of the results. My gut feeling is that your measurements are off.

I bet your initial measurement was on the short side, and your last months measurement was on the high side. You havent gained anything recently because you are still trying to catch up with your artificially inflated measurement from before. Your measurement technique needs to be consistent. You need to measure from the top, not the side. If you measure while sitting down, your penis will be 1/2 inch longer than it was standing up. If you measure from the side, it will also be 1/2 inch longer. The angle that you hold it needs to be the same. Whatever technique you have for measuring yourself needs to be consistent.

Assuming these gains are real?. I would
#1. not sweat the fact that you haven’t gained in 2 weeks. Most people dont even measure that often. You have made outrageous and dare I say unbelievable gains in a very short time period. Keep working at it.
#2.Although newbie gains do exist, at some point, you will probably need to spend more than 70 minutes a week exercising your penis. Certainly go back to 2 on/ 1 off, and while you are at it, you can increase the time jelqing and stretching. Where did you get the idea that you were overtraining?.
#3. At some point, you will probably want to add a hanger or stretcher to your regimen. Most people might say keep doing what you are doing for now until you exhaust your newbie gains, An all day stretcher ADS to wear after your workout would also be a good idea.

Toobsnake,

Thanks for the compliments on my gains :) . However, I must clarify;

-For the first two and a half months I had gone 2 on/1 off, and had worked up to 20 minutes stretching and jelqing was up to about 40 minutes.

-My initial length measurements may very well have been off. I measured from the side and top, standing and sitting, and took an average. HOWEVER, for the past two months my measurements have been done the same way, and these measurements show my gains are slowing. I’m just trying to tweak the routine to continue the gains.

-Having said, that, my EG measurements have always been taken the same way. I must have measured a dozen times after my first two weeks of PE because I just couldn’t believe this stuff was working(I must admit, I was kinda skeptical at first ;)

-As for overtraining; I ramped up my workout intensity pretty quickly, and I was getting sore for many hours after my workouts. I decided to switch to a 1 on/ 1 off routine to give myself more rest in between workouts. Was I actually overtraining? Who knows, but slowing down didn’t hurt-I’d rather “undertrain” than overtrain/injure myself. I am still very undecided as to what step to take next, which brings us to this thread.

-I really don’t want to sound like I am complaining about “only” .5” EG gain-I’m certainly not complaining at all. I just want those gains to continue.

Toobsnake, I do thank you for your insight and advice. Do you have a specific ADS that you are partial to, and how long should it be worn after a workout? Any advice you have on ADS is greatly appreciated, as I have no experience with ADS.

I’d say take: take 4 weeks off and re-start from the newbie routine. If it worked good, it would be wise to give it another chance. If it doesn’t works, it’s time to try something else.

Sorry if it doesn’t sound fancy or else, but simplicity is the pathway in most of cases.

Toobsnake Why would you assume his measurements are off, everyone knows newbies usually get large initial gains, it doesn’t mean any new tissue has actually been formed.

My first 4 months of manual PE I had almost identical gains where then they slowed and the real work began.

Though you may very well be right with your theory on the matter.

Like toobsnake said, I wouldn’t count on gains continuing like they have been the last couple of months. Congratulations on what you’ve already done by the way.

I would go back to 2 on 1 off, and increase the jelqing and stretching times to 15 minutes each. Make sure you’re not slacking on the warm-ups. I’d apply heat before stretching, and again before the jelqing. Good luck, and hope you keep gaining.

4 weeks off? That wouldn’t cause him to lose his gains?

February 1: NPBEL: 5.25" Eg: 4.25"

Nope.

You said to started 1 on 1 off after 2 and a half months, and you stopped seeing gains after 3 months right?

So maybe it got to do with it? Just jelq more, maybe you need to have the work out feeling more then you thought.

That’s awesome bro!

I will be starting the newbie routine, I would be stoked to get the gains you did.

Happy continual gains!

Those are awesome gains for sure, but two weeks without a measurable gain is not an indication that you’re doing anything wrong.

I would suggest going back to 2 days on and 1 off at this point. Then increase the amount of jelqs and stretching time slowly if you’re not feeling post-workout fatigue.

I don’t believe in newbie gains at all. Reading over and over all topics about size loss, routines, testimonials, myself and vets come to my mind two things:

1) Mismeasurement
2) Better erection quality

After a couple of sessions, one can really achieve a vulcanic erection. That means an enhancement of 0.1-0.4 over its former size. I’m sure many of us have noticed that.
I also must point out that over-training reduces erection quality. As a result, one can see no difference from previous size because the former one was taken by full erection (100%) whereas the recent one is at 90-95%.

Here you are in a new stage of PE. I do believe you made some gains and you surely did. Now it’s time to figure out what will work out for you. This may slowdown your gain process for a while, but with patience and tenacity you’ll get it over as all vets did. If this makes you feel more confortable, I am running this phase too and there’s nothing funny about it :D

Have you considered wearing an ADS or hanging?

I sincerely hope gains come back to you

Thanks to everyone who has posted, your input is very much appreciated.

-I am inclined to believe that some of my initial gains were due to better EQ. I believe my unit had plenty of “room to grow”, or expand, but my potential had just never been tapped until I began stretching and jelqing. In the first month, my BFSFL increased a full inch, my flaccid hang was noticeably much bigger, and I had a lig pop that scared the he!! Out of me :) . So, I believe that it was there all along, it just needed to be “pulled out” so to speak.

-Marinera, ginzo, MDC; I will be taking your advice and go with the 2 on/ 1 off again, and increase the intensity cautiously. I am no longer feeling the soreness, except for maybe a few hours after a workout, so I believe this is a good approach.

-Pelezinho; I am very interested in ADS, and I am actively researching to get as much information as possible. Do you have a specific ADS you like? Any ADS info or tips would be greatly appreciated.

-Moresize; Congrats on taking the first step in your PE journey! You will soon find that PE will enhance your life in many aspects. I was ecstatic when I measured my first gains! I’ve felt the difference in EQ and size and I now I’m addicted. Learn as much as you possibly can here at Thunder’s, don’t overtrain(master your PIs), and be tenacious-you WILL gain :) .
