New to PE, scared of small injury

A couple of months ago I did a jelqing routine for 4 weeks on and off. The right side of the base of my penis hurt just a little so I stopped the routine. Even since then if I do heavy leg workouts or sprints the next day I can feel it. It goes away if I don’t do those anything heavy involving the legs. Especially barbell squats.
I do a lot of wheelbarrowing at my job, but the past two weeks I had off because I twisted my ankle.

I went back today and very little lifting (stayed crouched a lot and hunched over), but when I got home, the pain rose a little (more annoying than ouch) and I’m feeling a little pain right above my right butt cheek. I’m super scared that its connected. I don’t know if its because I haven’t lifted in 3 weeks or if its related to the pain I’m feeling from the base of my penis.

I just masturbated to make sure I can get erections and cum.

What else should I do?

I don’t have health insurance but I’m gonna mark any appointment with a urologist tomorrow.

I am slightly confused by your post. At first it sounds like you are describing that the ligaments at the base of your penis are sore which is understandable from stretching/jelqing. Then it sounds like what you are describing is muscular, which I can’t possibly see as a result of jelqing. Based on location and saying that it recurs after barbell squats etc, are you sure it isn’t your hip flexors running along the inside of your thigh? Regarding the second pain you are describing, it sounds like you have pulled/weakened your erector spinae muscles, which has no correlation to jelqing.

Current Stats 10/11/2012: BPEL: 8.00" MSEG: 5.25"

Its right at the base on the right side. If I flex that whole area I can feel it. The left side I don’t feel it. I haven’t squatted in a long time although yesterday I was crouched and keeled down for a while.

I’m marking an appointment with the urologist as we speak. Do you guys want me to ask anything specifically aside from my own problems I’m gonna bring to him?
I will report back with what he/she says so that others can read the information and knowledge is spread more.

Just to update you guys, I want to the doctor today (not urologist). He think its nothing, touched my penis, squeezed a little, and I didn’t feel pain from that (other than that, I still have the discomfort) He told me not to masturbate, have sex, touch my penis. He had a heavy accent and I’m not sure if he understood me but it definitely eased my tensions a little. ALthough there is a little pain there, the psychology behind it definitely makes it worse. I have an appointment for the urologist on july 18th. Hopefully he will have a better idea. I really hope it goes away.

The pain behind the buttocks/lower back is pretty much gone, and its around its just a little btw, I think it was a combination of me being inactive with the weights recently and be bending down and lifting some things at work yesterday. Still surprised its at the right side only.

I haven’t been masturbating since Thursday of last week (except yesterday, I couldn’t help it) and my penis was getting better by the day as I did no exercise and no touching of my penis. I feel leg stretches helped a little. With the masturbation I did yesterday and the little bit of running I did (I was in the city, running from subway to subway) Its a little more aggravated today.

I still get erections, and can masturbate when I want. Is this something that ill stay forever? Or maybe just take a really long time to heal? Eventually Id like to try jelqing again, but not until I am 100% and can lift heavy weights and sprint without anything getting aggravated.

I have that pain on my right side but it is due to my vasectomy reversal. I do my pe in a hot bath and it makes all the difference. I am feeling less and less pain even after squats and pe on the same day. I would recommend the hot bath and light pe to get a good stretch.

On 6/15/12 NBPEL=6", BPEL=6.5" EG=4.75", BPFSL=6.75"

Current NBPEL=6 1/8" , BPEL=6 7/8" , EG=4 15/16", BPFSL=7"

Goal NBPEL=7", EG=5.5"

I don’t want to do PE until its fully healed. That was my mistake the first time. I am stretching my legs. When I stretch my groin it seems to kind of help. I’m just surprised its still there.

Hey novicejelq, take some time off from masturbating, trust me. I was addicted to pom for about 13 years of my life and it really decreases your erection quality and strength when done frequently on top of PE. I would suggest to take 2-3 weeks off from PE and masturbating; focus on lifting and try the linear newbie routine. It’s alot less volume only 10-20 jelqs a day.

Yeah I had that too, never went to doctor though and it slowly went away. Take regular hot baths and massage your dick. Refrain from stroking/pulling your dick. I use to masturbate on the daily myself until I hit a plateau from working out. I never believed it but the strength and recovery times are amazing if you hold out of masturbating. Now I’ll masturbate only on weekends and sometimes on Wednesday but I tell you, you definately feel the difference the day after…

As I stayed away from lifting and masturbating, the pain is slowly getting better and going away :)
I guess for the past 4 months I never stopped lifting, masturbating, occasional sex etc. In my right leg and buttock I’m feeling a little pain but I think that’s more from a lack of exercise. Its gotten weaker. I’m just making sure the penis will be safe. Eventually I will start with kegels again and 3 times a week do something like KR21 suggested. 20 jelqs.

My hopes is that once I start lifting again it won’t come back. I twice this week because I was super horny and the second time my penis felt fine, the pain didn’t get worse. So its a slow progress I guess.

Yeah man just be safe about it. Treat your PE regiment just like your weightlifting. Slight discomfort is good, pain is bad. Best of luck on your gains man.

novicejelq - just sounds like you need some time off, like the doctor and the guys here are saying.

This is a really great article if you have not read it before:

Warning! If you haven’t gotten improved erections:

Thank you for the link guy. I went to the urologist this past Wednesday, and he told me he couldn’t see anything wrong with my penis (he looked and felt around, squeezed it) He said to take a couple of weeks off of masturbation, sex, and weight lifting. Its gotten better but sometime the pain comes back a little, it feels tight there. I’m just worried that its permanent. Or maybe I haven’t given it enough time.

I still get erections in the morning, so that’s a good sign right?

Something weird I noticed too. On humid/ rainy days, its also more aggravated than other days. I’ve been taking Alleve.

Hi novicejelq

Have you had your lower back checked? It could be sciatica, the sciatic nerve is trapped somewhere between a disc, I get it ( because of squatting heavy but incorrectly once), get a pain left lower back, in the buttock and down the left leg at certain points- thigh, outside of shin. Over the years-25, it’s moved its position slightly from buttock to groin to hip and sometimes it even feels like it’s in my old chap. It’s worse at certain times of the year too, spring and autumn are the worse, the changes in humidity/temp. As you say the pain is more of an annoyance than an ouch. I think you problem is more weight lifting related than PE. Perhaps a trip to a sports Chiropractors might help.
