Linear Newbie Routine

J123, just for reference what are you’re personal stats? Maybe if I know how much you have gained that will help me get motivated!

One more thing, Should I stretch before or after I jelq? Also, when you stretch do you just use you’re hand or some kind of device? I don’t mean hanging I mean manual stretching.

It is hard for me to get a good grip when I do manual stretching, is there anything that you can recommend that will improve my grip when I stretch. Maybe I could use a latex glove to help improve my grip.


Well, I have gained about 1,25 inch length and about 0,5 inch girth (I didn’t measure girth exactly when I started).

It is good to stretch before jelqing.
I use just hand for stretching. I have had only minor slippage problems sometimes, so I have no personal experience about for example latex gloves, but they seem to be quite popular in here. Simply washing hands and penis before stretching will also help (quite obvious). Remember to be careful, that you don’t squeeze your penis too much when you stretch.

J123, Do you think it is possible to gain 9” in length and 7” of girth from the linear routine, if my stats as of now are, length: 7.25” BPEL, and 5” girth?


That is possible, but surely won’t be easy. It have to be build from piece to piece and it will take some time.
How are you progressing otherwise?

I have a very good tip, that will improve routine efficiency about 50- 100%. It is very simple. Just walk or jog 30- 60 min in a day. It is scientifically proved, that “sweat” exercising releases building blocks for veins into your blood stream and your veins become healthier. Having such building blocks in your blood stream surely helps when you are building a bigger penis, that is mostly vein like tissue. As simple as that.
By the way, at least for me gym exercising doesn’t give the desired result, it have to be walking, jogging, cycling or similar “sweat” exercise.

Thanks J123! My progress right now seems to be doing ok, but I haven’t seen any gains thus far. My penis does appear to be stronger but I heard if you do too many jelqs or jelq too hard, or something along those lines your penis will only get stronger not any bigger.

I am doing stretching for 30 sec. Down, up, left, right, forward, only one time through. I am also up to 85 jelqs. After I finish my routine sometimes I do what you said, I try to get a good erection to see if my penis is any bigger, but thus far it has stayed the same. BPEL 7.25”, and 5” girth, except I feel that it’s harder and stronger when I get an erection after my routine and without ejaculating.

I have done 14 sessions of the linear routine since Friday 8/11/2006. That’s because I told you that sometimes I took 2-3 day breaks from my routine, but now I’m only taking a max. Of 1-2 days off. I’m trying to do my routine every other day.

That’s where I’m at right now. My short term goal for gains is a BPEL of 8”, and Girth of 5.5”. And long term goal is BPEL of 9”, and Girth of 6.5” or 7”. Do you think these goal are to unconventional or do you think it is possible for me to reach these goals, and how long do you think it would take me to reach either of these goals?

Also, I do workout a lot with weights and I’m starting to do more running and cycling, and hopefully it will help!


Viva51, like I said your goals can be reached, it just will take some time. Reasonable time frame for it would be about a year, with quite steady growth speed. Goals are goals and plans are plans, but when I started jelqing my goal was 1 mm in a week. It seemed like a reasonable goal, “I can do that”.

I have one other question. When you jelq what is the speed you jelq at? I read that you shouldn’t go below 3 seconds. When I jelq I count out about 5-6 seconds before I reach my gland. What about you?

Also I don’t use a mm ruler. I only have a ruler in inches. So would 1/16 or 1/8 of an inch be a good goal for a week?

One more thing, how important are kegels for PEing? I usually do about 50-60 kegels each session. Do you think they are helping my gains or just making my penis stronger?

Viva51, I have tried many different jelqing speeds and actually I am not sure which one is the best. Standard jelqing speed about 3- 5 seconds should be fine in most situations. Although I have positive experiences from all speeds.

The hardest one to do right is very fast speed. I have done very fast jelqs so, that I would push more rapidly blood to penis, than it gets out and so forcing the penis to fill a little more, than usually and so eventually expanding and growing in size. When done right it usually leads to erection and then you just have to wait to get semi erect again.
Hard thing is, that the semi erection at the start have to be quite right, that it will work and it needs some focusing.
Today I usually do about 3 seconds jelqs. You may try different styles to see which one works for you.

Kegels are more like in a supportive role and they are mostly related to erection quality. The main effect with kegels is to develope the muscle (or one of the muscles) that squeezes the outcoming veins and so with many other participants (like bodys own chemicals) achieves erection.

Beenie169, it may be best if you start the newbie routine at the beginning of this thread from the very beginning.
Try at first the 1 on 1 off and if that seems to be too light then 2 on 1 off.

The stretching usually targets to loosening the ligs for more length and to stimulating new cell growth. Jelqing targets to expanding the cells, that are already present. If you don’t mind getting girth, the best solution is of course to use both methods.

I was wondering if I can add fowers after doing the linear routing because I turtle a lot.

Well, it shouldn’t be very harmful, but I see no point doing them. Let your penis turtle, it doesn’t do any harm.

If you want to do something after your actual workout you can do warmup and massage lightly your penis about 4- 6 hours after your workout, when your penis have more or less settled down.

I recommend the newbie routine found in this thread. Why? It is safer, it is progressively and so it is more suitable to your current situation and so you have better changes to get gains.

When you say “start from 10-20 jelqs,” do you mean 10-20 strokes, or 10-20 minutes’ worth of strokes?
