Linear Newbie Routine

Teej, if you mean the order in the workout, it is better to do the stretches first, before jelqs.

NEW newbie + advanced routine

Teej:

How’s it going? I’m curious, were you a newbie before you started this routine? Also, have you experienced any gains yet?

Hey. I’ve been at it for less than a month and a half, and I was a newbie before this. My last measurement a few days ago showed slightly under 1/4” of EL gain so I think I’m growing now. I’m not planning on measuring again until the two month mark. I’m trying to quit masturbating completely (NOT an easy task) because a lot of people seem to think that masturbation hinders gains. As a side note, I’m also trying to quit smoking…

Sorry, never got around to posting results, but after 3 weeks I gained .25” BPEL. I stopped for a month afterwards because I didn’t have time for PE, but the I believe the gains are solid since it’s still that size. :)

Yes, congratulations to both of you!

Teej,
I’m actually surprised that you didn’t gain at first, but you did later in the routine. Did you change anything?

invader,
Did you gain girth as well?

J123,
I like this routine — it’s simple, now only if we can get more full-blown beginners to try it so we can test it’s effectiveness.

Personally, I’m starting to agree with you. I think that a lot of us are overtraining because we start out with too much intensity.

Thanks for the congrats guys, but I’m not entirely sure about the 1/4” (although I think and hope that it’s more than could be accounted for by anything other than actual gains)… I hope it wasn’t a fluke. I’ll measure again on the 25th and hopefully it’ll confirm that I’m gaining.

remek: The workload increases in a linear fashion. I started with ~20 jelqs and no stretches for the first week, 30 jelqs and no stretches for the second, and so on, and added in stretches only in the third week. As you can see, the workload at the beginning is very light (maybe too light to gain, but knock-on-wood, I don’t have any injuries to report). Also, it takes a while to get the hang of the exercises, and of course I’m still learning how to fine-tune even the basic techniques like jelqing and stretching.

Did you work out every other day, or two on and one off?

remek: Aside for my guess in the previous post, there’s another simple explanation: it’s easier to spot bigger gains, and attribute small gains to measurement error.

J123, I have felt some discomfort behind my testicles right where my PC muscle is when I’m stretching, but only when I’m stretching in the downward direction. I also wanted to let you know that I have Prostatitis, and I am unsure if this has anything to do with my discomfort. I have went to the doctor for this and it’s nothing serious, a lot of men contract this and it has nothing to do with Prostate Cancer, and Prostatitis is not Infectious and I do not have bacterial Prostatitis either. It is basically an Inflammation and it flares up sometimes, and last night after I finished my PE session I went to bed and the area where my PC Muscle is was aching.

What I want to know is if I should take a break from PEing, or if you think it would be ok to continue my PE sessions, because I have just come off of a 3 day break already. I know if I ask my doctor or any doctor about PEing they will say don’t try it, but what do you think? I am going to call my doctor to see if I can get on any Anti-inflammatory medicine or muscle relaxants.

Also here is a link to webmd.com with a more on Prostatitis:

Prostatitis (Prostate Infection): Causes, Symptoms, Treatments

Thanks!

Viva51. If you feel discomfort when stretching down it is better not to stretch down for a while. It isn’t big thing for gains, but it can be a big deal for health.
PE shouldn’t matter for itself to Prostatitis (mine non-doctor opinion), but when you do PE and stimulate your penis your body builds more fluids for ejaculation. These extra fluids can bring weird sensations and if they happen to be notable it is better to ejaculate. It doesn’t matter to this thing whether you have Prostatitis or not.
One way to promote prostate health is to ejaculate at least once a week. It helps staying away from prostate infections by cleaning the channels and this is a fact.

If you feel, that you have to keep a break, then you should. No matter whether it affects to PE or not. Health first. By the way, be careful with antibiotics. After each antibiotic course your body’s immune is weaker long time after the course (time frames from a half year to year have been mentioned). So don’t use them too light hearted, but of course there is times when you absolutely need antibiotics. It is good to consult about this with your doctor (with less antibiotic use I am referring to European/Finnish practise and to latest researches).

Interesting Teej. Both of your points make sense. Perhaps the routine was a little light for you in the beginning, but later it caught on… Nonetheless, keep us updated!

What do you use teej, 1 on 1 off, or 2 on, 1 off?

Best regards,
remek

One on one off for now.

J123,

I’ve been doing the newbie routine for 4 months. No solid gains whatsoever.

The only gain is a longer flaccid. And a harder erection from doing kegels.

Should I start your newbie routine? Any help is appreciated thanks.

OK, I couldn’t help myself and I just had to measure again, and that .25” gain is definitely there!!!
Now I want to know how to proceed… as it looks like I’m definitely gaining now. As I have mentioned, I’ve been PEing every other day, following your routine to the “T” except that usually I stretch for 40-45 seconds instead of 30. This coming week would be five sets of stretches and 100 jelqs per session. How would you advise that I proceed from here? Should I continue with the same routine? Should I increase the workload, or keep it where it is, and if so for how long?

BTW, something else I’ve been meaning to ask: I’ve been reading that girth gains might hinder length gains, and so it’s better to grow to the desired length and then go for girth. Now, if I’m doing all this jelqing, isn’t that going to make it more difficult to gain length?
Thanks a lot!!!

Oh, one other thing that I haven’t been doing exactly as recommended is that lately (the last couple of weeks or so) I haven’t been warming up or down in any particular way because I had to be quiet and didn’t want to run the water, etc. It seems pretty warm in my pants anyway… and after the session it’s warm from my hands. If I get the chance though I’ll warm up/down.
