Hi,

I am new here. I am a sixty-year-old married fellow, and rather fascinated with what I have been reading here the last several hours. The last time I can recall measuring my penis was when I was in my late teens, and recall being pleased that my 5.75 inch erection was in the upper middle of the 5 to 6 inches then thought normal. Last night, I measured my penis for the first time in over 40 years, and was amazed to find that it is just short of 7 inches; 6-7/8 inches to be exact. I had for decades told myself that I was nearly 6”, and that information and my equipment has served me well for many years.

While new to the formal concept of PE, after reading the posts on this site, I think that I have been informally practising it for many years in my own way. For as long as I can remember, I have always done a 20 to 30 second jelq-type thing in the shower. Could this be the explanation for the 20% growth?

My technique is: at the end of my daily shower, I thoroughly soap and wash my penis and before rinsing, count off sixty quick, tight downward strokes from it’s base to the glans. I do this gripping between thumb and forefinger with alternating hands. Each stroke takes less than half a second, and the routine is over in less than half a minute.

Over in less than a minute and a half, but you’ve been doing this for 40 years.

Guess all those mini-sessions added up :)

Maybe it’s not how long you do it, but how long (and consistently) you keep on doing it.

I just have read through a lot of stuff on LOT. If I have measured it correctly, my LOT is somewhere between 9:30 and 10:00. Am I correct in assuming that doing some exercises that concentrate on ligament stretching will give me relatively quick gains in length? If so, what exercises are best for what seems to be a rather high LOT?

Of course, you may just not have been full grown the last time you measured. :)

It’s also interesting that you saw 5 3/4” as being in the upper middle of the “then” norm. I know it’s 40 years ago, but do you remember what led you to embrace those numbers? Meaning, where was it that a teen drew this information from in 1965? Was it the Kinsey study? Friends? Something else?

(In case you haven’t noticed penis size studies are something of a fascination here at TP) :)

I think the basic information was gained by poking around in the library stacks at university. What books? I don’t remember, but I do remember my doctor confirming my idea that 5 to 6 inches was the average.
