Okay, new to thundersplace.. Been lurking for few days though. I do have some initial questions.. I got this Malehanger thing in the mail the other day, and I’ve used it twice. In my love-based admiration of it I observed that it resembled an evil angel, and from that observation spawned what I will be naming my daughter.. Evalangel. Anyways, I did JP90 earlier, but after skimming through Hanging 101, it seems apparently I shouldn’t jelq heavily whilst hanging, and I should hang everyday apparently. I thought that was strange, as whilst lurking earlier I felt like weird popping in my ligaments, twas painful(good kind of demon pain) but went away after moment. I also saw somewhere it said, you should do BTC, then saw BTC is something you work your way into.. I’m so confused.
Need an expert’s opinion. I was going to hang two days on with one day off.. But now, happily, it seems I’ll be hanging everyday, though its sad, as I’ve grown attatched to those 300 jelqs I used to do.. Can I not go 2 days on, with one day off?

Please tell me what you think (experts).

Also, what is this turtling you all speak of? It causes the penis to grow back shorter? :O

Thank you, I was actually looking for that sort of page. I suppose the introduction was misleading but I’ve inconsistently PE’d for years, about 3 or 4 I believe, just on a different website, jelqed, pulled SD, etc., just new to formally hanging with a device.. But, hey, from what I’ve observed you are reputable on these forums, so I believe it would be safe to assume you know much in pertinence to PE. I can also tell you’re very intelligent from your subliminal suggestion post, which is ironically my field of study, so could I please ask you for your opinion on some of the questions in the post? I believe I would be asking the correct individual, and in my experience, asking the correct individual is why I am where I am now. :) )

hey bro, that means a beginner shouldn’t jump right into the BTC position, he must hang SD first then slowly work up to BTC, then BTC will be his primary angle to attack the ligs.

Evalangel? you are kidding, right?. Nevermind.

That was a “ligament pop”. It isn’t a common occurrence; but, it is something that every hanger experiences. Not dangerous but scary as hell.

Jelqing requires a little more recovery time than hanging. Hanging/stretching can be done every day.
Very often guys can’t get hard/maintain a consistent enough erection to jelq after a good hanging session anyway. You want the minimum amount of blood in your glans when hanging, so it’s not a good idea to jelq before hanging.

Personally, I am a believer that every PE routine should have jelqing in it, and I see no harm in doing 2 days hanging then a days jelqing.
I also have no problem with guys going straight to BTC hanging.

I think 14lb is too much to start with; you need to relax into the stretch, and starting too heavy means you will probably fight the stretch. You also need to easily have somewhere to go with your hanging - your penis will get used to the weight after a while and become stronger. Ideally you need to move the weight up in increments as that happens.

It’s a trial and error job finding the best starting weight. Think of it this way: if you hang a 4lb weight from a 6lb fishing line, it will hang there without stressing the line much. If you hang a 6lb weight from the same 6lb line, you will mildly stress the line. What you are aiming for is to hang a 7lb weight from 6lb line - it provides stress enough to cause adaptation.

Time is a crucial factor in hanging/achieving tissue creep.

OK, so how do you work out the best starting weight?

1) If your plan is to hang for 1 hour (3x20), then measure your flaccid stretched length with say a 5lb weight hanging, after the first 1 minute of hanging (gives the tissues time to relax a bit).

2) At the end of the first 20 minutes, measure again and see if there is an increase. Measure again at the end of each of the 20 minute sets. If you are getting even a tiny increase at the end of the first 2 sets, the weight is enough. You may or may not get an increase on the 3rd set (you may have maxed out - the penis can’t keep stretching for ever or we would only need to do one super long hanging set in our lives! :) )

3) If there is no increase at the end of the second set, increase the weight by a pound next time you hang. It may take a few sessions to get the correct weight, but patience is a virtue that provides the best long term results.

4) Once you have found the correct weight, repeat the measuring every 3 or 4 weeks to see if you need to increase the weight. Or you can increase time and keep the weight the same if you are getting continued stretch at the end of the 3rd set.

Be really careful to measure the same way every time.

Turtling is when your penis hangs shorter than it usually does as a protective response to stress. There are many methods people use to ameliorate it and searching the site for ADS (All Day Stretchers), wrapping, hanging golf weights etc. will give you some ideas. See my signature line for how to best use the search. However, I think doing piss-pulls (gently stretching your penis for 20 seconds or so every time you urinate) is enough to stop any negative effects.

I hope that helps. And on a more personal note, forgive me for saying that I really don’t like the name/idea Evalangel, nor do I think your daughter would thank you for such a name. :)

Have you made gains w/ a routine with 2 days hanging, one day jelqing? Because that’s exactly what I was gonna do. And I just weighed the leg weights, sand must’ve been lost or something, but it’s more like ten, which explains why my 15lb kettlebell feel like it’ll break my penis. Thank you, so I take it though, if you stretch.outwards? After a hanging session it would prevent it? I do like an hour of manuals before sleep at night, usually straight out anyway.. Would that prevent that turtling effect? Thank you. I must accumulate hanger knowledge.

If I were you, I wouldn’t do an hour of manuals after hanging; you won’t get enough recovery time for growth. Just do piss pulls, fairly lightly. You can do them at any angle, I tend to go straight down and straight out, but it depends what I feel I need at the time.

Ty!! I’ve grown attached to jelqing, okay interview question #2. I feel as though, I’ll gain like 1/2” by next month like mr. Schlong or whatever, please tell me about the cement process because I would be SO PISSED OFF if I got it then lost it. It’d be like giving a PS4 then taking it.
