HI everyone, first time posting, I’ve been a member of this site for a few days now. Just started on the newbie routine last night, thought I’d give this PE thing a shot (nothing to lose just gain). I’m hoping that this works for me, I’m ordering the bib hanger starter kit, I’m going to be doing the newbie routine until my hanger arrives, any thoughts/tips?

You don’t need a hanger to PE. Try the newbie routine first for a few months.

Start with the newbie routine, be consistent and watch for changes in EQ. If it gets worse slow down. It’s a marathon not a sprint. What are your starting measurements and goal measurements?

JD- No hanger? I thought it would be my best alternative/method of PE because of the fact that I can actually do something (hands are free) while hanging. Also, I found it difficult to stay erect while doing the jelq part of the newbie routine, for the first few strokes I”ll be about 60-70% erect after that I”ll lose my erection. Yesterday which was my first session I practically did the entire portion of the jelqing flaccid (jelquing with an overhand OK grip stroking down towards the floor). Is that at all effective? Must you maintain somewhat of an erection the WHOLE time? I find it difficult to concentrate on maintaining some sort of an erection while at the same time concentrating on my strokes.

My starting measurements are BPEL 6, BASE GIRTH 5. My goal measurements are BPEL 7.5, BASE GIRTH 6

Just about everyone learns to ride a bike, swim … and the same applies to jelqing. Are you using lube? If not, wet jelqs are easier to get the hang of than dry jelqs for a newbie. If that’s not the issue, then you may just be jelqing too firmly. Focus on creating just a little bit of pressure in you penis and maintaining it through the stroke. You may not need much pressure at all at this point.

PE works (at least for most guys), but don’t tell yourself it’s necessarily easy and passive. I haven’t tried hanging - yet - but don’t recall any of the real oracles on this board ever advocating it for newbies. Try manual first because it usually works and conditions you for more things down the road (such as firmer jelqs for you).
