One of the main negative PIs is supposed to be decrease in nighttime and morning wood; I suppose this could mean not only frequency of it but also the quality of said erections.

The thing is, sometimes I experience these symptoms but I don’t know whether the routine is to blame, or whether the routine itself is fine but my symptoms are due to stress factors. I’ve had this the past few days, for example, and I know I’ve had a huge amount on my mind.

Is it safe to put the symptoms down to stress factors and to continue routine as usual? Or should one err on the side of caution and downscale the routine a little?

I think you should first tell us what routine are your currently following and how long have you been doing PE.

Try meditation with deep breathing or try looking at some yoga video’s on you-tube to relax your mind and body.
I personally think you should reduce the time you put into PE until your EQ returns to normal.

Please tell us ,what is your routine?.

I am doing the newbie routine and am in my 4th week. So currently:

- Hot wrap, 5 minutes
- 6-7 minutes stretching
- Around 15-20 minutes jelqing
- Hot wrap, 5 minutes
- 50 kegels

Just to be clear on the details, oftentimes the wood has been good, and that’s the big picture. This week it has been poor, but I’ve also slept very badly and have had a zillion stressful thoughts swimming round in my head.

I PE’d yesterday. It’s Friday in the morning now here, and this was the first night that I slept well all week and stress free. I woke with probably an 85-90% erection which lasted for a while. In the pre-PE past, that had been a typical morning wood erection level for me.

I’d like to say, as a general point, that in the past I have rarely woken to a 100% fully engorged erection. I find I generally only reach that sort of level when extremely aroused, e.g sex. Maybe that’s normal? I don’t know. But struggling to reach an ironclad 100% definitely makes measuring a pain in the ass.

It sounds to me like you may have some stress effecting your sleeping patterns. Etc. I say this because I absolutely have been there. I think just to rule it out you should take a couple of days off and see if it improves. For what it’s worth, it sounds like you know your body and do pay pretty good attention to what’s going on with it. Keep up the good work.

Your routine is totally newbie, I would suggest you reduce jelqing time to 10min. Take a few days off that will help as-well . I think you should get at-least 7-8 hours of sleep , try doing some exercises like cardio/body-weight exercises etc. Which will tire you and you will find that as soon as you get into bed 10minutes later your in deep sleep.

To increase your EQ start doing about 200-300 kegel’s everyday ,now go to Google play-store and search for Kegel camp this app will remind you to do your kegels(there are many kegel reminder apps you can use). I hope this help’s you .

Kegels. Held for how long? 5 seconds per rep, as in the newbie routine? Also, how many in a row without a break? How divided throughout the day?

These questions keep popping up in my head.

Well i think 2 sec hold are more than enough , you can do as many you want in a row there is no limit . You can do kegels when your in class or at work it doesn’t matter ,divide them how ever you want.

How is your erection angle and force of ejaculation? Kegels do not always improve eq. In fact I don’t practice kegeling in any capacity unless erect during pe for an extra blood pump.

Try reverse kegeling with an erection and see if that helps your eq. Too many guys with poor eq related to pelvic floor tension pushed on this direction.

When fully aroused, erection angle is quite high and quality is very good. I have a problem with reaching full arousal / “turn-on factor”. This is what I believe is behind my often questionable EQ.

Now, here’s the part that confuses me the most: my routine is more or less unchanging. No added intensity, nothing. It’s been quite static for the last couple of weeks. And yet, one night I’ll have 100% rock hard nitewood and morning wood, and another night I’ll have wood, but maybe only 70% erection strength. Like, on those nights I’m not even aware I have an erection unless I feel with my hand.

It makes no sense. Even after a night of 70% wood, I’ll PE the next day as usual and then, the following night, hey presto, 100% hard erections. There’s no rhyme nor reason. Anybody experienced this? I just don’t get it. I can’t help feeling that, rather than being overtraining related, it’s libido related. I think, when I’m very sexually charged, I get great nitewood, and on those days when my drive is nonexistent, I get poor wood.

What does all this mean? How do I interpret it? I don’t think it’s quite so easy as “back off on the PE”, because I can see a correlation between lack of sexual interest and mediocre wood quality. It’s extremely capricious.

See how my illness and suspect health markers might be obfuscating matters? I’m very confused as to what to do. I’m sure there must have been others here in the past who experienced similar issues, where it just wasn’t clear whether PE had any connection to unpredictable wood patterns.

Yeah surely your stress levels, mindset and health issues will interfere.

It could still be that you need one more day off between workouts.

All you can do is to note all factors of the day even the ones not directly PE related and then adjust.

You come across hectic and panicky.(maybe.. ;) )
You are able to get full errections so if there is no correlation with your workout its probably mental lol.

I recommend you to try basic meditations. nothing wild just basic body mind focus meditations. guided at first and then you can do it on your own. maybe scan youtube for it. You want one of those: relax your feet, now your torso, now your arms… If you get what I mean.
Creating breaks and a different experience for your body will help you.
Our body reacts immediately to anything stressfull.
The pelvic floor which has a big part in an errection will tense up if you have other stresses and thus you cant get a full errection.

Read up on reverse kegels which are basicly a relaxation of the pelvic floor.
I suspect that aimless kegels wont help you much right now and might even tense you more up..

Also think about magnesium and epsom baths which are very relaxing. Can be done as a hand or feet bath only too.

Keep in mind that morning/night wood isn’t reliable per se if you have issues finding long enough sleep.
I for one almost never have them unless I sleep at least 8.5-9 hours a night (which I am not going to do).

However, checking EQ during ‘random’ erections is simple, just feel how hard you are and judge by that.
