Hi,
Been doing the newbie routine for a while. As some of you may know I had problems maintaining an erection while jelqing. Well, I found out why.

Here’s my routine:
5 min warm up with rice sock
Simple manual stretches for about 20 seconds up,down,left,right and straight out. Plus helicopter shakes thrown in a few times.
Attempt to jelq
5 min warm down with rice sock (not always possible as I need to sneak out to the microwave.

It appears that after doing the simple manual stretches my dick is very fatigued. I really don’t feel like I’m pulling too hard when I stretch though. When I try to get an erection my dick is smaller with very low EQ.

My EQ will be back to normal or better next time I masturbate. I’ve definitely experienced a serious increase in EQ since I started my routine, so I’m confused about the mix signals.

What do you think of this?

If it’s just the case of fatigue after stretches I’ll split my routine up and have a jelqing routine separate to manual stretches.

Also I have yet to experience any gains, but I have been quite inconsistent with my routine.

Do your jelqing first, before your stretching, if that works better for you. Usually it’s better to do stretches first, (especially if you wet jelq as it’s harder to grip for stretches), but it’s really not that important.

If you are inconsistent, you won’t make gains. It’s as simple as that.


Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. And the ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth.

Gains usually happen not in or immediately after the routines, but in the off time, when your body heals the damage you’ve done. So it’s natural to see a decrease in EQ immediately after finishing a routine. Usually, you’ll see the improved EQ only the next day.

Also, as firegoat said, being consistent is key. Even the newbie routine doesn’t work for all the penises in the world, but if you’re consistent, you’ll be able to experiment and reach the routine that’s best for you.

Maybe you’re just stretching too hard?

I started back up with manual stretches and pulled pretty hard and was quite turtled the next day…

So I stretched more gently and still felt like I’d gotten a very good workout and there was NO turtling ^_^
