I’m definitely a newbie and here is my experience so far ( I guess I can’t make my own post yet so I’m posting here because I feel it applies to this thread)

Ok so I had been doing PE for a little bit over a month and worked myself up to about 220 jelqs per session which I would do at 3 days on 1 day off, and I would always “listen to my penis” while I was doing this. I made sure to warm up with a hot cloth for about 5-10mins and then I would start jelqing. Immediately after finish my routine I would jump in the shower and let the hot water do a “warm down” on me. I was getting crazy levels to the point where I was so hard it almost hurt a little bit but not really. It was fucking awesome!

As I approached say around the two month mark of being consistent with the simple routine I explained above one day I got hard and it looked significantly different. My length grew about a sliver less than .25” and my girth was definitely greater because it felt so full and looked like it was too (unfortunately I never measured before and after for my girth). I’m like this shit works!! I continued with the same routine and the next day I saw the same thing when I looked down the day before.

I felt like I was beginning to solidify these gains, but then the next day I got on with my girlfriend and we started fucking around a little bit and she wanted me to get off for her. When I got hard it looked great, same size increase as the two previous days. I started doing my thing for her and it was taking me quite a while to cum and I went harder and harder as I was masturbating. During the I wasn’t finishing at the same rate I usually do and I felt like I began to become desensitized but my size remained the same. I eventually came but it took a lot to do so and once we said goodnight and after my penis went down to flaccid it felt almost tingly and kind of weird like it wasn’t there almost. I couldn’t do the same number of jelqs I used to do because it would just over work me but I stuck with it and began to rekindle the momentum I had before that whole incident/injury by doing a much lighter routine. No gains for a while (less than a month). Went on a trip for a week and didn’t jelq, and then I came back and started again. This time I had a different approach. I would do the same thing in regards to warm ups but I would only do 100-115 jelqs but I would throw in an extra day so it would be 4days on 1 day off. This seemed to work because my was really good and after a while I became fuller and thicker but it wasn’t the same as the first time I experienced gains however it was slow and steady, a more gradual change. This seemed healthy to me although the gains didn’t come on as strong but this is ok I think.

However, I fucked up again, last night I masturbated too hard and once I came I immediately got soft and I realize this wasn’t good. I wasn’t numb/desensitized like I was the other time but I was still worried and I knew it definitely affected me in a bad way. I woke up this morning and thank god I had morning wood but I looked at it and it seemed like my length had remained the same but my head was really soft and my girth may have been less or I just lost the gains I was seeing. Obviously it’s still recovering but it’s such a shitty feeling that I keep losing my momentum I was working so hard to build to have it lost in just one night. I want to get going again with my routine but I realize this probably isn’t a good idea for at least another week or so. However this injury is not nearly close to the one I experienced before.

So what are some pointers/ advice any veterans can give me when I start back up?

Do you think I am experiencing some sort of nerve damage or something of the sort when this happens?

You are a beginner and you’re figuring things out in your own way and that’s good. Take the ruler and go put it away for 6 months. You see tracing the all elusive gains makes one overdo things and you already know that. Add to that the body does fluctuate each day and measuring a .25 on an inch increase really means nothing. Keep doing what you’re doing, be careful, figure out what’s works best for you and ditch the ruler.

Just wanted to know if you happen to be cut or uncut.

Newbie gains are just the elastin in the collagen matrix becoming more ‘elastic’. If you over-do it, they will contract as a protective mechanism. If you take more than a week or so off, they will revert to how they were before (but will adapt quickly again when you re-start, but it’ll seem like you lost your gains).

I don’t know why I thought it was nerve damage, it just made sense in a way I guess because of my “deflated dick” I had experienced. And got it I’ll put the ruler away for a while!

Would you suggest taking a full week off? I feel like my member is coming back to life throughout today but I wasn’t planning on exercising until I know this decrease in quality has passed. And yeah I have to admit I was really excited about it especially after seeing it three days in a row but I kept the same intensity and volume in my routine. I think what caused me to lose such drastic EQ was the fact that I over did it when I was masturbating.

You probably don’t need to take any time off, just ease back a bit for a few days. If you’d feel happier taking a few days off until full function is resumed that’s ok too, but throughout the time you do PE you’ll always have times your eq is a bit lower from over doing it. We all do.
I don’t know about collagen peptides but emerging research suggests 15g of gelatine an hour before rehab exercises helps collagen in tendons to repair faster.

I wasn’t able to really get hard at all yesterday but today it’s starting to come back to life so that’s a definite good sign! My original post left out some words (PE, EQ, FaceTime, etc.) because of the editing feature on here or whatever I don’t know, but my general message seemed to be conveyed.

I don’t feel like I over did it at all in regards to my PE routine because I could just tell from the erections I was getting and how it felt (it was great!) prior to masturbating the other night. What fucked me up was I went too hard masturbating the other night so I was really afraid I damaged something hence the desensitized feeling. Any experience with something like this?

If I ever had a decrease in EQ from my routine it was only a day and very minor compared to what I’m experiencing now and the first it happened.

Anyways thanks for the information in regards to the desensitized feeling because that’s what think is going on here. Probably my habit lately of watching porn and masturbating at the intensity I was is not a good combination with PE, I don’t know though. Yeah when I was thinking about it yesterday and today I felt like I never wanted to watch porn or masturbate again because it’s fucked me over twice now in terms of me getting this injury. I’m very aware while I’m doing my PE routines and I never over do it anymore because I’ve figured out my body, but it just sucks so much that I can loose momentum because I decide to watch some porn and masturbate. I think it’s a good idea to ditch the porn and masturbating and just have sex with my girl or just go without if we can’t do it on a night I want to get off.

I think that habit has also led to desensitizing my penis and going to hard when I masturbated just compounded the problem the other night.
