MY problems with VIGRX

I don’t have the rights yet to post in the supps forum, so Ill just post here.

Anyone else have any peculiar problems with the product VIgRX? I bought a shat load of product from them and every time I take one pill , my skin starts to redden up in certain areas on my body and become very rash-like and itchy.

To boot, I cannot feel any effect it is having on my penis area. Anyone else ever heard of similar reactions to penis enlargement products and pills?

Pills dont work, first of all.

As for the rash, sounds like an allergic reaction. Stop taking them!

Yah, I know they don’t work for sure, but I heard of some people taking them in conjunction with PE and getting good results. Regardless, I figured this was an allergic reaction problem hehe and thus I have stopped taking em already :)

Where on your body, and how long does it last? I don’t know the ingredients in that one, but your reaction sounds almost like a niacin flush.

That was my first thought as well.

Whats a niacin flush?

I can’t remember exactly where but I remember it on my elbows and knuckles and redness around my neck as well.

That sounds like it. How long does it last? When I take cillin drug (penicillin, amoxicyllin) I get a knuckle/finger rash right at the end of the dosing.

What are the ingredients listed and the dosages?

When I was taking the VigRx, I noticed that my skin was very sensitive to temperature, specifically cold. Whenever I was driving in the car and the A/C was on, I would start to itch like crazy all over my face and neck. I stopped taking the VigRX and just took L-Arginine for a while. Now I don’t take anything for PE. I don’t have the sensitivity to the cold anymore.

It refers to the flushing (reddening) of your skin when you consume moderate to high amounts of Niacin. The Niacin causes a histamine cascade similar to an allergic reaction, which dilates your blood vessels and capillaries. The most common areas subject to the flushing effect is usually the chest, neck and face. In addition to the color change, the area usually becomes itchy, sometimes prickly feeling, and many times has a feeling of temperature sensitivity like IW8 mentions above. Some people are more susceptible to this than others, and with regular intake the body seems to get used to it and stops the flushing effect unless the niacin is increased. Again, don’t know what’s in the VIGRX, but Niacin would be a logical ingredient since it’s a nice vasodilator even without the histamine release. If it is flushing that you’re experiencing, it should go away after a week with regular usage of the pills, unless we’re talking about a huge dose of Niacin in there.

Why is it that I can log on to a PE forum and finally discover what that “flushing” and skin crawl crap is
when I take certain meds. And yet everytime I ever mentioned it to a doctor or health care “professional” they just
give me that stupid O well look?

I’ve put up with it for years, especially with the antibiodics and even ibprofin,
and never gotten a satisfactory answer as to why. I can get what appears to be a hell of a rash sometimes.
It’s usually on my chest and I’ve also experienced the adversion to cold. I knew it was the meds, but thanks for finally
putting some reasoning behind it. I thought I was freaken’ nuts sometimes. Well, THAT might be something else …..

Wow, that’s a head-scratcher for me RootCap (‘course I have no medical training whatsoever). I have no idea how you could have this kind of flushing reaction from antibiotics and ibuprofin, unless you’re having some kind of low-level allergic reaction to these meds (if that’s even possible). It sounds like you’re having some kind of histamine release, but who knows. Sounds odd.

I started taking VigRX one week ago and for the last three days I have had an unbearable itch all over my neck face, back, groin, legs, feet. Went to Doc, he said stop taking it. Damn pills.

Only cure for that is, stop buying it.
