My Newbie inexpensive redi-stretcher

Came up with this idea about a week ago and have been using it since.

What did you use? It looks like 1 inch abs pipe? No padding? Is it just glued to the clamp jaws?

I used a 1 1/2” ABS pipe.

Cut a 2” section then cut it in 2 even pieces. Shave or sand the edges down and glue them with epoxy glue to the grip ends. I use a small hook to hold the weights or whatever you can hang from it.

I went up as much as 20lbs with no problems.

I wear a hair tie wrap with gray Thera-Band. The ABS pipe seems to hold well against the Thera-Band.

I just bought one of these clamps today at home depot with the intent of doing exactly what you did but was unsure of tubing size. Now I know what size to buy. Thanks, looks great, and for a lot less than the commercial version.

Man, I gotta get my ass to home depot, lots of good shit there for PE.

Its called a quick grip, and all you do is glue some pipe on there with maybe some padding and an S hook?
