So I’ve tried the noob routine and have been having a bit of a hard time. I want to do something move passive I guess. I was wondering about these stretchers that I have seen. I have one myself, but it’s uncomfortable. I figure I can make a similar more comfortable one. Using the ADS design I figure I would attach a weight to the end instead of putting it on my leg with a belt. The highest weight/tension on my stretcher is 1200 grams. This is about 2.6 pounds I believe. So maybe I can find a fishing weight/sinker. What do you think? Would and all day hanging at similar stretching weight be the same and as effective? Can hanging be effective while sitting? Most importantly how do you feel about the safety? Thank you for your comments.

I hope the hangers answer your question. I haven’t got the patience to hang even a penny weight; there are so many other PE possibilities.

Well, I’ve seen similar posts now with this in a much better design. 9_in_richard has a good design that I am gonna follow.

Hanging shouldn’t be an all-day type of thing. As for doing it while sitting, that’s always how I do it— BTC style. Also, you can never be TOO safe. While hanging seated is safe, there is certainly a ‘safe’ way to go about it. Read up some of the hanging 101 threads, they suggest 2 sets of 20 min, with warming in between.

I’d say if you want to apply low tension for prolonged time use an extender, if you think a bit higher tension could be more effective, than go to hanging at least 1 hour daily. All day hanging seems not pratical to me.
