Guys, to be 100% clear: this is just my own personal medical opinion. Obviously, jelqing has never been formally researched (try to get a grant for that!). But all of the above makes sense to me:

- one should not jelq until there’s oedema (or clamp four hours, stretch with killing circulation, etc etc)
- oedema is bad in medical terms. When you see it in a patient it means there’s something going on.
- PE slightly damages the penis, but in moderation so the penis can be enlarged/reshaped. Hence PE works!
- but there are risks so be careful
- if people have the subjective observation that their penis is healthier post PE then I can’t argue with that! I can imagine if you ‘train’ your penis to contain more blood during jelqing then that may improve EQ and sex overall.
- But I still wonder about my 1st point: that stretching is fundamentally different because I never lose anything during decon breaks. The fact that you lose during a jelqing decon break makes alarm bells ring in my head (still makes me think jelq gains are not real, just bruising/moderate oedema. But again, I have no scientific proof for this).

@Scarsick: I dunno… I do between 4 to 8 hours/day. So I guess it’ll be somewhere between those extremes, say 4000.

I made my own leg strap, bit hard to explain… I’ll try:

elastic band of 1.5 cm wide, with velcro on both ends goes around the penis just below the glans. Then I tie a piece of elastic string to that, which is also attached to a leg strap. (the elastic string ensuring that the tension is semi constant during walking). I use max tension the leg strap allows without slipping off. I use those extender protection pads as well (http:// www.sexhealth .co.uk/jes-extender-spares-parts-protection-pad.html)

I just use it 4-8 hours/day with breaks as required. Never longer than 45 minutes anyway. I just go by ‘feel’.
During the breaks I may do manual stretches whenever I feel like it (piss pulls basically, up to 3 minutes, several times/day)

Thanks very much for the information. I have tried ADS in the past (Monkeybar’s Auto-extender); and while it is a very comfortable device, I found that when sitting (which I do a lot during the day) the tension would slacken right off, giving me little or no stretch. I’m currently using an extender, and whilst I haven’t achieved any erect gains, I have noticed a definite improvement in flaccid hang, which is something I’ve always wanted. I would be interested in your take on the ‘tissue expansion’ or ‘ligament lengthening’ ideas (take your pick) that supposedly lie behind these devices. I know the ‘studies’ that have been produced to support various extenders are probably a bit dubious from a scientific point of view, but I have to believe, based on testimonials on this forum alone, that there is something good happening with these devices. Also, the idea of applying safe levels of tension over long periods of time seems a much more sensible way to go over, say hanging, clamping or other more extreme methods.

By the way, congratulations on making your own PE device, I always admire anyone who has the ingenuity to do that.

The idea is to actually damage your penis just the right amount to induce growth, if you only added three sets of hanging prior to your all day ads, you would have a recipe for dramatic length growth. Definitely recommend the Redi Stretcher for this and start out very light. I never got the soreness that other people were talking about until I started hanging, and this is soreness in a good way, like after a good work out at the gym. Then your ADS would keep it pulled longer so that when it heals, it heals in this new longer state and would really add some serious length. This seems to me to be the only part of the puzzle that your missing for some serious growth to start happening for you. Its taking me a very long time to learn this and the hard way having tried almost everything and being a serious hard gainer here.

I agree that low tension over extended periods of time sounds safe… But regarding the tissue expansion and ligs I have to confess I am confused by all different theories. Lately I have been reading on the ‘cord’ some describe, and how this limits growth. There’s so much we don’t know about PE (e.g. decon breaks, ligs, that cord, permanent/temp gains). So I don’t dare to make any comments on how extender truly work.

All I can say is: it makes sense to me that if you apply a constant tension on any body part, it will eventually grow/expand. In case of the penis it’s probs a combination between ligaments being stretched, inner penis being pulled out, and new penile tissue. And those studies you refer to are indeed not very well set up, but I do believe them. They report very modest results anyway.

Sorry to not be more helpful, but I am not comfortable enough to give you a more sensible answer. It’s all hypotheses. All I know is that ADS works. You just need to do it for a very loooooonnnnggg time.

PS: I have used an extender as well (jes) but made my own when it broke down after 800 hours of use. I do think they work just as well as my own leg strap. Tension is tension.
PS2: if you apply the autoextender whilst sitting down, you keep the stretch. Of course you cannot stand up easily then, but if you work from home at a desk then I guess that’s OK.

I have considered including hanging… but it scares me tbh. I’m still not sure… I think I will try it once my results of ADS only reach a plateau.

Doc, I sense the impression that no matter what I write, you will simply flame it. All I can say is that I know what works for me. If you have a system that works for you, then by all means, have at it.

In regard to whether PE is unhealthy, I would say mildly so, but compared to what?

Most of our existence is a compromise between pain/injury and comfort/pleasure.

As a competitive athlete I am never more than a slip or a twist away from an injury, and after most games I’m bruised and stiff in the joints, but none of those factors deter me from the absolute pleasure of the involvement in a game of soccer twice a week.

And Gus, what does it take to become a doctor?

So when it comes to PE we must exercise caution, but only to the extent that we can go to the limit of that which our dicks will endure while we clamp, pull, stretch, hang and twist them into compliance to our will to get bigger.

Gus, I will speak for all of the members of Thunder’s place by saying welcome to the forum, as we have always wished to have a genuine medical opinion as to whether PE works! (Though we know it does.) and give the damned thing a tug now and then, it won’t wither and die, Though it might feel like it’s going to some days!

Gus, what kind of tension do you use on your ADS. I recently (about a month ago) started supplementing my 3 hour extending sessions with a VacExtender Mod ADS with a 32oz weight attached. I wear it for up to 10 hours a day down the leg of my pants at least five days a week.

I haven’t taken any measurements since I started using the ADS. I will wait until Nov. 1, my 2 year anniversary of starting PE.

Don’t know, I have no way to measure it.
I just do it as tight/tense as possible (still avoiding pain or slipping out of glans, and I can still walk due to elastic string)
