Multiple Workouts per Day

Multiple Workouts per Day

I have been following the newbie routine for about 6 weeks now. No, I don’t have very good gain info only because I did really measure before starting. I will say that I hang better and fuller than before, and for that alone I am pleased — but still want more. For years I have measured just shy of 6” ( I always sort of generously gave myself credit for 6). As of two days ago, I was measuring around 6.25” EL x 4.87” EG. Am hoping to do a few ruler pics soon. But my questions are:

At what point do the vets think I can start do multiple workouts per day, if at all? Some days I just feel like I didn’t get a good AM workout and feel like there’s a little more I can do. Also, I have been reading about guys doing stretching throughout the day. Is it likely or practical that these guys are doing a warm-up before these sessions? When should I consider adding in a hanging element to my workouts?

I did try to find these answers through search and was relatively unsuccessful. If the info’s out there, just point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Sorry I can’t help but I would also like to know the answer if anyone out there knows. Been on the Newbie routine for about 4 weeks or so now, working late at night. I gained initially but that hasnt happened for about 2 weeks. I don’t want to go crazy yet, just add a few more exercises.

Livelon, you might want to read this PM. It’s from RTG, I have questioned him about the same problems as you.

3. A lot of people show off their massive gains, they must have done pumping, hanging and even clamping, if I want that succesful event to happen to me, do I have to do the same thing? If the answer is “NOT REALLY”, please explain
4. Newbie routine are suitable (or most of the times recommended) for newbies ( let say within 3 or 4 months) then they will have to move to something more advance, is that true? If NO, why? I already know the reasons if you answer YES

And the answer is :

When I first started dry jelqing I though they were incredible, and indeed they were. However, I never benefited from they completely until I started stretching regularly. For me, stretching before any type of girth exercise is my golden goose. It gives me my best gains. So again, finding the mix of exercises that benefits you the most is vital. No exercises works it’s best when you do it alone.

2) I would suggest you start dry jelqing in addition to your wet jelqs. Dry jelqs are more intense and hit girth better than wet. I was a avid supporter of wet jelqs for months until I let go of my stubborness and tried dry jelqs. What a difference. I still do wet jelqs (usually bang out 50-100 in the shower in the omorning on girth days), but I focus more on dry jelqs. You may also want to start adding some O-bends or Horse440s for girth. For length I would start doing DLD Blasters.

3) Not really. Different people gain different ways. You don’t have to do those things to gain, but then again you may (hows that for a politician answer ). It depends on the way you respond to the manual exercises. There are guys that have gained a good amount from strictly manual stuff.

4) Again, this is a “not really” answer. Most guys will out grow the newbie routine in a few months, but there are those who can do it for a much longer time and still gain. The key to PE is not changing what is working. If something is giving you gains, keep doing it until you stop seeing the gains. If you want to try to gain more, then simply add to the routine that is giving you the gains. For some guys, just adding intensity and “reps” to the newbie routine is all they need.

PE is all about body adaptation. You need to find what your body responds to the best. The only way to do that is by trial and error. You won’t find your best routine over night. It has taken me about 6 months, and even now I think I can find a better way. But I am gaining quite well so for now I’ll stick with what I am doing.

Hope it helps. Oh By the way, warming up is necessary before starting PEing.

Best regards,

daBoogies
PS : I’ll vote once again for RTG if ThundersPlace looks for (best of the best) mentors :D

7 x 6 EG is perfect!

Routine : Manual-V-Inverted V-JAI-BTC stretches (alot of stretches :D ). Wet Jelq, Pumping (once a week to maintain my girth)

Thanks for the vote of confidence daBoogies. Although I am in way too strong of company to be considered the best. :leftie: I am very fortunate to be in such a great company of people like Thunder, Westla, gprent, av8, BG, 789, tps, xl, Roddy, SSI, Hog, DarkTrick, Piet, mgus, mbuc, Tube, beenthere, Monty, I could go on and on. They have taught me more than I can ever repay. I know what I know because of them.

So enough with the brown nosing, mushy stuff. :D

livelong, like I said in my PM to daBoogies, it is all about knowing what your body can take and what it responds to. XL likes to call it the “sweet spot”. I really like that term because (if you play baseball or tennis you will know) the sweet spot is never really the same. It is always changing. To an extent that is a PE career. It shouldn’t change daily, but our body’s are constantly changing so what works for you one month (or more) may not necessariliy work the next. The “game” you need to play is knowing when to move on or to add more. If you don’t feel like you got a good workout or you feel that your unit can take a little more, then do a little more. I’m not talking about doubling your routine here. Just add some time or intensity to your existing workout. Keep doing that till you feel like you have hit that “sweet spot”. If you continue to add and add and still don’t feel like you’ve reached your potential, then maybe it is time to add an exercise or change up your routine. The bummer of all this is we cannot tell you what you need to do. It is different for everyone. We can certainly give you advice, suggestions, and answer specific exercise related questions, but we can’t tell you what routine will work best for you. We simply don’t know.

So, having said all of that here is my suggesstion to you. Add some time/reps and a bit more intensity to your current routine. If you get to the point where it is necessary to split it up because of time restraints, then do so. ADS is a good practice that I recommend. You don’t really don’t need to warm up beforehand, but if you can it is always good to do so. If you want length then hanging is a very good exercise to begin. There is a very in depth and helpful Forum here just for the guys that hang. Take a peek around there for a while before you make your decision.

Welcome to the site. I hope this has helped a bit. Good luck to you.

I’m in the same boat as you. And at this point, it’s about getting my shwanger acustomed to

The eventual abuse. I don’t do warm ups, just streches and jelqs. But gradually, as I find a good

Routine, the sessions should become more methodical and consistant.

livelong,
There are no “time tables” about when you increase a workout - regardless of how much experience you have. The rule of thumb is gradual progression. You increase only when your present workout no longer yields gains.

That’s it. No need to make it more complicated than it really is. Actually, by rushing too quickly, you don’t speed up gains, you harm them.
