Mind set and goals

Mind set and goals

I want to quickly discuss two topics. One is forum names. I just want to briefly touch on this topic as most guys here have good member names. A name like “iwannabebig” (this is an example, if this is someone’s actual forum name I apologize and am not singling you out) is not conducive to gains. I don’t want to get all Tony Robbins on everybody, but if your name has to do with already being big it helps. You gotta already think you have a big dick, or at least think your on your way to one. Anyway, I know this all might sound silly but having a good forum name when we all post on these forums quite a bit and log in, and see our own name on the screen it affects the mind.

Anyway to a more important topic: goal setting in PE. It is great to have big long term goals. Never let anyone tell you it can’t be done. However I think it is important, in order to maintain motivation and hard work, to have smaller goals. I am after length so I’ve decided for myself to tackle goals a quarter inch at a time. That quarter inch is the goal, when I have gained that I have a new goal: another quarter inch. By having smaller PE gaining goals, you are going after something that is attainable for many people within a few months time. Whereas going after that full inch of length could take a year or more (or less, it all depends on the person). So, I’m not trying to convert anyone to my method, but just saying that there is more than one way to look at your PE goals.

BPEL - 5.75 inches

BPFSL - 6.25 inches

I’m not so sure about the first point but I guess that’s because I don’t have a penis related name ;) I try to treat the Internet as much like a real place as possible, it helps respect others and some-what adds to the experience.

I definitely agree with the short term goals, for example I’m looking to gain .5 erect length for my first goal which is not a lot for newbies. If my short term goal was 2.0 I may get fed up trying to get there and be demotivated whereas if I set .5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 then there’s more chance I’ll stick with it and be happy about myself because I’m growing.

Yeah, everyone feel free to ignore the first point , the more pertinent point is about short term goals.

so I guess “MyTinyPeterWontGrow” is no good?

I totally agree with the short term goals.. I always do short term goals and it feels so good when you reach them :)

Start (Aug.05): 6.6 BPEL x 4.375" EG

Now (Feb.2011): 8.6" BPEL x 6.0" EG...

Gains: 2.0" EL x 1.625" EG Way more than doubled my erect volume! PE for life. Anything is possible!

If you ask me, it actually does.

Daydreaming is good to an extent but one needs to be realistic if one wants to get gains and commit to PE.

Stats (bp) 2004/08/19 8.0 X 5.5" 2005/08/29 8.2 X 5.8" Goal - I am good for now

I think the smaller goals is a great idea.. I need a short term goal.

I think that this thinking is valid. It’s the old how do you eat an elephant question. One bite at a time. There is a lot of information in this web site and just getting started without feeling like you have to do everything all the time to get gains is a pretty daunting task without feeling overwhelmed. Keeping it simple with short and long term goals should do it for most folks.

In short, know your material, know your mental and physical limitations, set your goals, plan your work and work your plan, measure your work, press on, make changes as needed.

As for what you call yourself, well, attitude is more important.

Just my .02 cents and my first post. More about me soon.

How about not having any short or long term goals, doing a set routine and measuring once a month? I do my newbie routine with my morning coffee, wear golf weights (soon to be Monty’s weights) all day and tuck it in during sleep.

I’m not saying goals are bad, it’s just that everyone seems to be hung up on measurements (go figure). You could always recite a mantra in your head like 8”x6” if it helps you or “Grow”. There’s my Mantra. Grow.

Hang it, pump it stretch it, bend it, clamp it, do what you will to it. Don’t measure it so much or break it for that matter. PE is like my morning coffee now, I’ll never go with out it.

Actually you make a good point, just like using visualization. I honestly didn’t start gaining until I could see and feel a big dick between my legs in my mind. Weird but it works. So having a name that helps you visualize, I could see the big swinging dick name being beneficial, although the visualization can do the same thing.
