I am starting my newbie routine today and wanted to get as accurate measurements as possible. Here is the problem. I have a ring of scar tissue (it feels like a rubber band) at the middle section of the staff. This causes an indentation of about .25” should I just measure below it? Also would it be possible to fix this through PEing? I have a feeling this will prevent me from gaining quickly as well. Any thoughts, solutions, or opinions are welcome.

Yes, just choose a point to measure at and stick with it. It’s only so you can measure progress.

You won’t know if it is a problem until you have been PEing for a while. Never look for a problem where there might not be one. If it does turn out to be a problem, that’s the time to address it.

Be careful though. You don’t want the scarring to spread, you want it to heal. Could be that doing PE might help it heal and after that you can really focus on gaining.

Dude, I know it has healed already because it happened when I was 14 and I am 28 now. I was hoping I could break it up by doing stretches over time or something. I hope it doesn’t spread that would be horrible.

It’s unlikely to spread. It may be worth trying some cross-friction massage over the scar tissue to break up cross-linkeages within the tissue. Use your thumb to press down over the scar tissue and, without letting the thumb slide over the skin, massage with pressure across the scar tissue. Start gently for the first few sessions, and if you don’t get any negative reactions, increase the pressure slowly over a few sessions. Do it after you have done your warm-up and before your stretches.

Now that’s a good plan of action, I commend.

Thank you goat, will try this in my next session. I have a question regarding jelqing and kegals. I don’t know exactly where to post it but if it need to move this question to another thread I will. After my stretches I have a hard time maintaining a 70% erection it stays at like 10%. So in my second session (today) I did about 100 jelqs, then got up to about 80% then 25, did 4 sets of that. So I guess I was wondering if that is okay or not. Also in kegals I feel like I get a better rep if I am semi hard so I did 10 reps then got semi for each set. Is this okay? Will it even be worth it to jelq or kegal flaccid?

Also consider using an oil with natural solvent properties along with the technique described by Firegoat to reduce scar tissue. For example castor oil. Talk to someone at the natural remedies/health store. (I’d personally avoid baby or mineral oil) I used the cross grain technique with castor oil after both of my knee replacement surgeries and the 8” scars are almost not noticeable. Good luck.

Re: Flaccid jelqing and kegeling: Makes no difference, in my opinion, with kegels. Jelqing needs to be done with some engorgement. Not convinced that jelqing flaccid would be anything more than stretching.

Most guys have to stop and adjust their erection level every so often. It’s not a problem. Jelqing at anything between 45 and 75% is OK for normal jelqing.

Kegels can be done flaccid or erect or anywhere in between. Once you get a feel for them, it’s good to do them flaccid, then you can do them at stop-lights, or when your boss is telling you off for something etc. :)
