This has probably been on here before, but should I use a tape measure for measuring my length? Or should I use a ruler?

BPEL 6.5-6.7" Goal: Anything!

I would use a ruler… seems more accurate/consistent. (Less give.)

For Bone-Pressed measurement be sure to jam it in hard to your fat pad, and to angle the ruler at a consistent position. (I always stand and put the ruler parallel to the ground, straight out.)

For Non-bone-pressed, well, it is never going to be super-accurate.
