Lubes & Heat Question.
Lately I’ve been contemplating switching from the grapeseed oil I’ve been using for most of the last year to a non-oil based lube. I actually love everything about the grapeseed oil EXCEPT for the clean up. I’m a busy dude and I’m always having a tough time finding a good block of time to do a complete workout so consequently I’m not as consistent with my routine as I’d like to be. This is the only reason I’m contemplating switching lubes.
My question revolves around the issue of heat. Oils tend to change temperature very slowly & retain a consistent amount of warmth compared to lotions which seem to cool rapidly. If maintaining a degree of warmth throughout the jelq session is ideal then would using a lotion or cocoa butter cream or what not potentially limit the effectiveness of the jelqing? I’m a firm believer in the use of heat (thanks to Firegoat & friends) but I sometimes wonder if some who struggle with gains even with diligent, consistent routines use lotions vs oils and are losing warmth in their ding-dong throughout their jelq sessions???
I don’t like the hassle of cleaning up my grapeseed oil but I won’t trade off less effectiveness with jelqing using something else. I think I’m close to plateauing so I don’t want to try a change that will stall me.
Any thoughts?
