I’m doing PE for 7 months now (only manual stretches and jelking). I gained about 1cm BPEL and my BPSFL was getting significantly longer than BPEL, whereas it used to be more or less equal.

The past 6-7 weeks, I’ve been jelking at higher erection levels. In the past, I did this mostly at lower levels. A bad idea so it appears… I lost a little bit of BPEL (maybe 2mm or so) but BPFSL is again equal to BPEL (which is 1cm of BPFSL loss). I did notice some girth gains (about 3mm).

How should I see this? Am I overstressing the smooth muscle as a result of the more intense jelking, causing it to retract more? If so, these gains should come back fairly quickly if i switch back to lower erection jelking? Correct?

You are already on the correct path with answering your question. It sounds like a classic case of overtraining based on your description. In the initial months of PE’ing, you have made great gains with your previous method. There is no reason to switch it up to another routine unless your gains have stalled for a few months or so. More intense PE exercises should be saved for when you reach a plateau. Whenever you find what works for you, keep doing it until you are confident that you are no longer capable of gaining from it.

If your length has decreased by 2mm and your girth has increased 3mm, the volume of your penis has increased - it has got bigger.

Slight length losses are not unusual with girth increases. Vary your jelqing between higher and lower levels.

Thanks for your comments. I’m quite happy with the girth gains, but my focus is still on length for the moment. I’ll follow your advice.

Just for my understanding: is it actually possible to overtrain (resulting in loss of length) the tunica? Or can this only be caused by the smooth muscle?

In your case, the easy version is that you have not ‘lost’ any tunica size, it is just expanding sideways not lengthways.

Sometimes it can appear that the penis has shrunk after very intensive PE for a couple of days, but all that is happening is the elastic component of the collagen is trying to protect itself by contracting. A few days off allows full recovery to happen and the lost size magically reappears!
