Losing faith in PE

I followed the newbie routine for 2 months as the guide instructed
And gained nothing at all. At first I thought I gained at least 0.1”
But that turned out to be a measuring error/EQ related gain and not
An actual length gain.

Restarted for a week now, and turned up my streches to 1 minute and
Kept dry jelqing as much as I can do in 10 minutes. Left out the kegels
This time to see actual gains instead of just improved erections (still do
Warm up/downs of course). With the kegels out, I have no gains from EQ
And have weaker erections. All I got is a slightly better flaccid.

This is so discouraging, where should I go from here?

Just look at the pictures for proof. and make sure you are doing the exercises correctly. there are videos here of a guy doing them all right.


As of 5/1/05 BPEL = 6.50" EG = 5.25" 5/20/05 BPEL = 7.00" (This is at the peak right before an orgasm) EG = 5.38" First Goal BPEL = 8.50" EG = 6.25" FL > 5.00" (haven't done PE since about August of 2005)

Getting back into it for a week now, same goals as before, but..

1/10/2010 BPEL = 6.625", EG = 5.25" ... Really wish I did PE for the last 4+ years. Who knows where I would be at.

I know what you mean, but just keep with it. I am a hard gainer and you may be as well. Everyone grows at a different rate. You could try and increase your intensity or duration but make sure to monitor your indicators (Physiologic Indicators (PIs) to help growth!).

It took me about six months before I started to see any real gains, and still they are minimal. It took a long time to condition my penis to do any exercises with a little more force. I have been fooling around with different exercises, make sure you do them right and stay consistent as soon as I started doing that I started to see gains; you have to find out what works best for you and that can take some time.

Hey brother, I’ve been down that road before. I can tell you this, quitting will probably do nothing for you. The people who gain in this business keep at it through thick and thin; they keep going though months and months of not making a single 1/16” of gain. You have to keep going and keep experimenting with times, repetitions, and frequencies. Finding your niche is what this is all about. If you give it enough time, you’ll find your’s.

It took over 8 months before I saw any gains. All I can suggest you do is to read and learn how others made their gains. Do some research and try what others have done. It is easy to get discouraged when you read that some people make amazing and unbelievable gains in short periods of time. None of them have ever posted pictures to prove their gains. Take it as a grain of salt.

Gains are to be had, lowgrow. Learn and adjust a program that works for you. Ask around, live and learn.

I only realised how to jelq properly after about 2-3 months. It’s a hell of a long journey to get to growth for most people. It sounds like you aren’t going to get too many newbie gains so in a month or two when you have undergone the conditioning period of the newbie routine you can change things around a bit. My tip in the meanwhile is to re-add kegels back to your routine and read up on more advanced methods and try and match them to your goals be they length or girth or both.

Good luck and keep with it. Don’t be a slave to the ruler! If your EQ has improved, then you have done more than all those non-PE people who don’t realise they aren’t achieving as good an erection quality as they could.

Being discouraged is part of the whole gaining process. Being discouraged means you put in enough time to be considered an effort. I know how you feel, since it took me 4 months to see a 1/16th in EL or EG. PE takes time, but it works. Once you start gaining and you go past your first full year of PE you will notice size fluctuations that seem like losses, you may get discoloration, etc. The frustration will never go away for some members who can’t maintain a positive out look, even if their units are growing. PE has definitely taken a toll on my emotional health but I don’t regret anything, because I know I will get what I want in a few years. My father used to always tell me when I was little kid “the longer the suffering, the greater the reward will be.” Don’t give up.

Haha I’ve gotten kinda discouraged too, I’ve been doing it about 3 months with no gains whatsoever, although my erection level is still great.

Well considering you are only two months in, there is no way to absolutely discredit the validity of the exercises. Just remember: there are literally thousands of us on here who have genuinely gained results. Why would we lie and spend countless hours on something that’s futile? It takes hours of work and from what I’ve read even years to get satisfactory gains, and it’s something you have to develop an attitude toward. It’s about persevering and being proud of the little gains you get along the way.

I suggest you do what I do. I’m heading into month four and have absolutely ditched the ruler. My gains have been small, but I know they’re coming. I just go at it everyday and know that 8 months from now I should see some exciting gains when I check back with the ruler. That’s what keeps me going: knowing that 8 months is so little time relative to one’s lifetime. So keep driving yourself and believe it’s working! The gains will come.

Fellows are right; Darkboob gave a very good link. If you have weaker erections, maybe you are doing too much, chances are you are using too much force on jelqs. 10 minutes of dry-jelqs aren’t that light stress. I’d say: switch from dry-jelqs to wet jelqs every 3-4 weeks; lighten up the grip and/or change frequency, jelq no more than 3-4 times per week or even less; when you do dry-jelqs, do no more than 50 at most - probably starting from 25 would be a better idea.

I haven’t measured in awhile but I used to measure a lot when I first started. I was just really excited to see my first gains. I may have gained since I started, but I won’t measure for a few months.

It took me over a month to feel like I had gotten down how to properly jelq. I tried different methods until I found something that felt like it was working. I don’t see how after only 2 months you feel like you’re losing faith. Don’t focus on the quick gains some people make. It’s not an overnight process, so don’t stress so much about it.

Quitting will result in zero gains, so it wouldn’t make sense to quit.
