Looking to improve

So, I’m not “new” to PE, but I’m no veteran. For maybe a year or so, I’ve done random exercises with no real schedule. Sometimes I’ll jelq in the shower or something maybe once or twice a week. So I need to get a proper schedule, but I’d also like to help my process. I’ve lurked on this thread for at least a year, but I finally got around to making an account.

I know most of the do’s and don’ts, but I am not perfect. I know some heat is good, so I like to do it while I take warm showers. I think that’s a good idea, but with this kind of stuff there is a fine line between helping and hurting. I did try pumping at one point for a couple of months but struggled to stay properly trimmed for a seal and my homemade brake bleeder pump would slowly leak enough where I got sick of pumping the vacuum after a while. While I looked damn good after sessions, I struggled to keep it up and no significant gains were made. Of course, gains take time, but over the couple months I did it, I was getting sick of constantly re-pumping it ever 15 seconds to compensate for the slight leak in the brake bleeder. Trust me, I spent hours trying different ways to fix it, I don’t think its going to happen. It’s also rather inconvenient, I’d prefer something subtle and easier to use.

This is how I came across POWER JELQING, and it seems like just what I need. Because I’m not about to drop heaps of money on a PJ device, I found a perfect thread from years ago: Homemade Power JELQ

I’ve made it and it is ready but I want to make sure I use it right before getting started.

But I still have questions, like what is a good schedule, how much pressure do I apply, and how to maximize the effectiveness of my routine? Warm ups? Cool downs?I’d like to do this in the shower if possible, such that I can do it privately, with heat, and multitask by getting clean. Another issue I tend to have with jelqing is that I get erect while doing it and then have to stop because of it. It takes little for me to become erect, I’m just like that. Any way of preventing that? I’m still learning and I’ve searched most of my questions on here already but I think they are too specific. I’m open to help and new ideas!
