I’ve been doing the beginner routine for 6 weeks now following everything pretty well straight forward except that instead of 10 min of stretches I was doing three pound hangs. Anyway basically a week or 2 in I noticed a fairly sharp decrease in sex drive and subsequently less erections. Although when I do get a hard on it’s rock hard as usual and everything seems fine. I havent experienced any pain and there really hasnt been any life changes except getting healthier if anything.

I’m a little concerned because I’m 26 and usually horny as all hell. When I see an attractive girl my mind gets turned on but that rush sensation to the genitals just isnt there unless I smack it around a little.

Hope this hasnt been brought up to many times, looked around but coudnt find anything. Don’t wanna stop but don’t really wanna progress until I get some answers.

Just rest for a few days and see if everything comes back. If it doesn’t, get a blood test done. Cortisol, DHEA, luteinizing hormone, thyroid stimulating hormone, T4, estradiol, free testosterone. I think the first 2 on the list, especially cortisol, are important for recovery. Out of whack levels of those can effect everything else on the list.

I’m far from being an expert here, but I am not sure you should be hanging right now. I doubt that is what has caused the loss of sex drive though.

What device are you using for hanging?

Made my own, pvc pipe cut in half with some padding, just followed one of the homemade ones somewhere on here. Works well not too much circ loss after ten min, but I’m not using the elastic wrap only the cotton one. Can’t get it from sliding just under the glans though which might be causing too much pressure on that nerve bundle but that was only 3 lbs I’m using 5lbs now.

Cut out the hanging, just do jelques for now. Start with 3-5 minutes using modest force, it shouldn’t even be hard enough to cause discomfort. Do that daily (weekends off) for a few weeks until your EQ rises and you have a better EQ than before you started PE. After that, you can increase the time by a minute or two a week as long as EQ still rises. When it plateaus or drops, look at your notes and go back to the time when EQ was highest.

Try for a good hard erection after each session, if you can’t get one, chances are its too much and go for every other day instead of daily.

I’m in the same boat right now. A lot has changed for me lately though so I don’t know what caused it. I have cut out porn, almost stopped masturbating completely, and been PEing quite a bit. I’m also a bit depressed. I can get it up, but not easily. Morning wood is a 5 at best unless I coax it a bit. I’m taking a few days off PE to see if that helps.

If ur 2 weeks in, hanging is a terrible idea. Rest up for a week or two (or at least do less stressful exercises) and continue the newbie routine for AT LEAST 3 or 4 months before you even think about doing anything else. Seriously, man. Take the advice - I’ve over trained many times trying to make my gains come faster - it would work out fine for a while, then I’d all of a sudden have a loss in EQ (never in sex drive though - that one is odd. You’re probably just super dick conscience now though, and your lack of erections is making you think you have a low sex drive).

Honestly you probably have nothing to worry about. Just rest for a week or two and come back to newbie routine EXACTLY how it is.

Same to you joystick - stop doing ANYTHING for 2 weeks. Drink water, eat healthy, exercise and you should be fine. When you start having morning wood of 8-10 for at least 5 days in a row, then come back to the newbie routine. I’ve had to do this about 3 times now and every time it worked (also, every time I scared the living shit out of myself.)

Thanks BerverPooh. I have had too much free time on my hands lately so over training seems to be the likely suspect. PE is just so much fun! I just hope the noticeable gains I have made already don’t evaporate. That would be a real bummer.

Free time is the devil’s playground. The devil wants to see you over train!! Don’t over train too much because then you’ll get scar tissue and it’ll be a bitch to gain. I think I’ve slowed down my gains by building up some scar tissue, and it’s not a fun thought - I was starting to gain really fast after months of jelqing and not gaining anything, then I got too excited and went over board.

Anyway, you should really consider a 2 week break with out doing ANY PE except kegels.

My dick is related to my sex drive.dunno y it just is.it was as if it was completely cut off from the rest of my body had feeling and it worked cud get off just that power behind it wasent there.like I was just a body.kina returning now but not what I was.I swear real depression had set in.hoping I return to full health.I have nerve damage I think.how long did it take others to recover ?? I’m not doing PE again!
