Length Before Girth

Ok, been PEing off and on for a couple years. Most I’ve gone is like a month strait. I’ve actually seen some pretty decent gains considering.

Anyway, been reading for a while but I’ve never posted. I’m really getting serious about this (just started newbie routine up again) and I’ve got some fairly lofty goals. I understand it’s going to be a LONG process to get where I want to be and am in no big rush.

Now lets say I stick with it and do the basics for a good 3-6 months (I’ll gauge the appropriate intensity level). Lets say I make it beyond this point and into more advanced routines. My question: is it a general consensus around here that you should work on length gains before doing hardcore girth exercises? Does it matter? Do you have to “specialize”? Also, is hanging the generally accepted most effective method for length? If I do hang, I’m going to wait till I’m a good few months in anyway.

Help is much appreciated, and point me in the direction of other threads if it’s easier. I tried a search to no avail. Thanks fellas!

Well the general consensus is to work length before girth, as theoretically they say girth work toughens up the tunica or that it is tougher to stretch a thicker unit, I personally have not seen enough proof of any of this to believe it 100% but it does make sense. Many experts such as bib and big girtha swear by doing girth and length separately, while many have managed to gain both simultaneously.

If you want to be pointed in the right direction, why don’t you start by stating your stats and stating what matters to you most.


Now: NBPEL = 6.4 MSEG = 5.3 BEG = 5.75

Goals: NBPEL = 7.0 MSEG = 6.0

I say, take any increase L or G that you can get. For me they happened at the same time.

My length and girth growth came at the same time as well.

Looks like it’s more of a routine/genetics thing, some people may get different results from the same routine

I think if you spend much time reading personal accounts of progress on this and other PE forums you will have to agree that some guys gain length more easily and some gain girth more easily. Others gain both proportionately.

I think the theory proposed by e211 in this thread: Girth and length gains is interesting. He proposes that easy girth gainers simply have weaker, or fewer radially-aligned fibers in the tunica than longitudinally aligned fibers and vice verse. He further suggests that guys with shorter, thicker cocks are that way because they have fewer or weaker radially-aligned fibers and guys with longer, thinner ones have the reverse.

I have never subscribed to the "gaining girth hinders subsequent length gains" argument. If girth exercises thickened the tunica in such a way as to prevent or retard subsequent length gains, it seems the reverse would apply and length oriented maneuvers would prevent subsequent girth gains. And the notion that a thicker cylinder is harder to elongate would only make sense if the penis were composed of homogeneous tissue that resisted stretching uniformly, and that is clearly not the case.

It is safe to make the assumption that nearly all of the resistance to elongation of the penis resides in the tunica and the septum where the tunica of the separate corpora meet, as well as in the ligaments (fundiform and suspensory). These structures are thin relative to the girth of the penis. We don’t know if they thicken up with increases in length. They may actually thin out. There is no real data.

If length gains did in fact thin out the fibers of the tunica they could even make subsequent girth gains easier.

Some guys have stated that they felt that working on girth hindered their length gains, but plenty of others feel otherwise. I would focus most of your attention on what you wish to gain most, length or girth. There is a good chance that you will gain both to some extent.

I have a question. For those who say not to work on girth while you’re working on length do they mean advanced girth training like clamping, or all girth training period? I am focusing on length right now, and have tried to limit my girth exercise, but I do jelq at the end of my stretching routine. I’ve read that jelqing is good to do after a stretching routine to promote blood flow, and cement gains. Is all or any of this true?

Well I jelq for length, even though it is a girth exercise, but I like to see it as, whatever girth I get is a added plus.

Yeah, I definitely have a “take whatever I can get” attitude. I was just curious what the general opinion was for advanced stages, if and when I reach that point. Thanks for the replies fellas.

I’m a little below average in length (about 5.8 bp) and well below average in girth (4.3 mid shaft) so I’d say my goal is more geared toward girth. Short term (first 3-6 months), my goals are +0.5 el and 0.25 eg. I doubt gains will come uniform like that, if they come that quick at all, but I’m in it for the long haul this time, and I know w/o question that the intermittent PE that I’ve done the last few years has dramatically improved my EQ and stamina, so at worst I get more of those. I guess I’ll have more questions when I’m a couple months in and see where my gains are coming from.

Oh yeah, ultimate goal is 7.5 bpel X 5.5 EG. A guy can dream, right? Thanks again.

I am relatively new to PE. After 4 months of newbie routine, I have introduced “horse440 squeeze” into my new one. While I haven’t gained much in length, I do feel the intense sensation from Horse440, and it feels very good for my girth. I am 6.25 x 5.15.. on the thicker side.

Now I want to focus on length by adding ADS/Extender into my routine. Haven’t decided on which device to use for my “uncut”.
