I am new to this and I just am wondering if you would see any gains hanging just 40 minutes a day?

Sure, 40 minutes a day is more then what I do per day and I’ve seen results. Just start out at like 5 lbs and make your way up to what you feel comfortable with.

Goal ___________ EL: 6.5" ____ EG: 5.25" ______________ New Routine: Jelqing 5 minutes, then Hang (12.5 lbs.) for 20 mins. a day

You are new to this and you plan to start hanging already? Bad idea I think.

If he’s new he should do jelqing and perhaps stretching. Hanging is for those with more than 6 months experience I’d suggest. If you still want to hang at least do very small amounts using a very light weight, like 1lb for 10minutes for a day. Do that for a month along with jelqing.

If I could go back in time with all the knowledge I have. I’d actually like to start off just purely hanging and very light jelqing. Like I suggested to the guy, 10 minutes at 1lb for a month or two. Then every month following that, increase the time or weight. Starting off so light and knowing exactly what to change for the next month is a blessing and you could keep gains coming for a long time to come I suspect.

Every time I read something about hanging it just reminds me I need to read up on the actual “how-to” and info for it. (So much to read here.)

40 minutes a day is fine, you will want to hang at least 25 lbs to make sure you break your dick. Good luck!

I think you can have gains hanging 40 minutes per day. Not saying it is the best way (neither that it isn’t), just that it is possible to have gains.

I may hang in the future, but only until I’ve done manual exercises for a year or so, and have done a good amount of clamping. I’d be too worried to jump into now since I’ve only been doing these exercises for 7-8months.

Just started and I am hanging 9lbs with no problem. Jelqing just isn’t my thing and I don’t think it works as well as weights. Any thoughts?

I better clear up any misunderstanding of my post above. I was being sarcastic. You really shouldn’t be hanging. The chambers of the dick are like a balloon that you can fill up with blood to get an erection. If you get a hole in one of these chambers, then your dick is probably broke forever. You can also damage your veins and ligaments. You only get one dick! Don’t break it!

Also, if you are circumcised then hanging will really tug your foreskin. It will likely be unpleasant and create stretch marks.

I gained 3/4 inch before I ever tried hanging!

Start off slow with jelqing and stretching. You will be surprised how effective they are and it will get your dick conditioned to the added forces of PE. An ADS device would be cool for a beginner as well.

First off I agree that you should do the newbie routine. I hang less that 40 minutes a day. I never understood why manual stretching works for 10-15 minutes a day but then hanging a heavy weight must take hours to be effective. I would follow a shorter hanging period with an ADS or at least piss pulls so you don’t just make a stronger more resistant tunica. I’ve gained about .25 inches in BPFSL over a few months doing this. If I had the time and privacy I would hang for more sets but I just don’t right now.

Maybe because when manual stretching, you apply a greater force than with a hanger(especially for begginer-intermediate levels) ?
