L-Lysine

L-Lysine

I have seen posts recommending L-arginine supplements. Anyone taking arginine should know it competes with L-lysine for absorption.

L-lysine is needed to create collagen, so taking too much L-arginine could cause an L-lysine deficiency, which could limit the production of collagen.

What I am saying is: If you take L-arginine supplements, you should consider taking L-lysine if you want to grow more collagen. L-proline is also needed to produce collagen, but I don’t think it is affected by arginine, but it wouldn’t hurt to take proline with the lysine supplement.

Yes, your right about taking L- lysine if you take a lot of L-argenine daily. But if you cycle the argenine for lets say 3 weeks and 1 week off.. it should be no problem..

I take L-argenine three weeks, then the fourth week I stop with argenine and take citrulline one week.

You can cylcle it 5 days on and weekends off, depends how much argenine you take daily..

How about supplementing L-lysine while taking L-arginine, just to insure enough L-lysine to make collagen? It is also important to have enough Vit C to turn the L-lysine into collagen.
I am thinking because so many people say they are taking L-arginine on this site, some may not be able to produce the collagen needed for gains.

Does taking these supplements help or hurt gains?

what if having healthy elastic connective tissue and collagen prevents you from achieving the micro tears (we think) are required for your body to creating new tissue? in other words: what if all these supplements just cause the penis to stretch and eventually return to its normal size? with no new tissue needed for repairs.

Especially to those who use light weights while hanging …
