Hi all

I’m new to PE and have just started doing kegels. Did anyone else find these really difficult and exhausting when first starting? Am I doing something wrong?

Nope, keep at it, it does get easier.

There isn’t a set number. You are working a muscle when you are kegelling, so you can treat it like training any other muscle. Experiment to work out how much you can do without pushing it too hard, have harder days and easier days and days off for recovery.

Is there a way to know if I’m doing too much? I’ve pretty much been doing it all day on and off in reps of 10-20.

If the muscles feel tired and are not contracting forcefully, or you are not getting erections as easily, you are definitely doing too much.

I’ve noticed that when doing kegels (assuming I’m doing them correctly) the penis contracts into the body. All the videos I’ve seen say “kegel in a little more blood”, but when I do it, no more blood seems to come through, if anything its the opposite. I’m assuming I’m doing something wrong?

Sounds like you are doing them correctly. If you are doing jelqs and are basically trapping blood in a fairly erect penis, then kegelling will push more blood into the chambers. Try getting a 70-80 % erection then squeezing tightly around the base of your shaft, then kegelling, and you will feel the blood expanding the chambers. Doing the same thing flaccid will not make that happen, but you are still working the BC muscle, with or without an erection.

Keep practicing soon it will become second nature. Kegaling blood into your dick is usually done when you are clamping, so you get as much of a hard on as possible. Focus on the Newbie Routine and explore that later on. As your muscles strengthen it gets easier. It may take a week or two with kegaling to see any results.
