Kegels are ruining my penis.

The BC muscle, much like your abdominals and other muscles of this type, does not need rest - not in the way a bicep does.

It can be worked every day.

The issue here is not his BC muscle.

It is his ejaculatory control.

You may be right on how the BC muscle is different from other muscles, but the BC muscle and his ejaculatory control are the issue here. He believes that kegels, which work the BC muscle, are limiting his ejaculatory control.

I am a rookie on PE, but kegels give me a much better erection, but what really changed my ejaculation control is edging, man sometimes I masturbate for a hour and don’t cum, then when I meet my girlfriend I am hard as hell, and take some 2 hour on sex, I don’t think kegel help ejaculation control.

One thing that I don’t like in kegels is that you must do almost every day to do some effects, I do kegels every day, and if I take on day off, my PC muscle goes week, any advice?

I am challenging that belief.

The exercise, and resultant strength of the erection, are one thing. Ejaculatory control is another. Not that there is no connection or relationship between the two, but to blame kegels and the ‘problem’ of healthier erections for a newly developed ejaculation issue is, in my view, misguided or, at the very least, short-sighted.

I also happen to know that kegels and reverse kegels are excellent techniques for retraining the ejaculatory response. But the employment of them must be informed, and guided by patience and will-power.

Ejaculation itself is an involuntary reflex. We have no control over it. Zero.

What we have control over is our level of arousal leading up to ejaculation.

This is what needs to be dealt addressed.

In addition to improving penile health, strengthening erections, etc., kegels can be extraordinarily useful in training the body to cool down prior to reaching the point of no return.

One has to be committed to this and take the time to learn the body’s responses - anticipate them, on a much subtler level.

Also worth considering is that kegels can’t be the only PE that is being done. Are there other changes you’ve made that might be worth examining?

In addition to kegels, and PE, are there are the other changes? Are you taking any herbal supplements? Stamina enhancers? Arginine by any chance?

I think it is wise to make a complete assessment before hysterically concluding the kegels are ruining anything.

It is unlikely that kegels are the root of the problem.

I don’t disagree with you on the benefits of kegels, I use them for control along with belly breathing and pushing down on my perineum. You should’ve been more descriptive Mr. Happy, I thought you were talking about the topic of the thread rather than the other possible causes. An honest mistake. That being said, I still think that you (Springer240) should keep at the kegels for 3 months like you said and see where that gets you. My guess is that it has something to do with your new erection level. Either you’re not used to it or you are used to cumming at a much lower arousal rate, which takes longer. It could also be that kegels are keeping your concentration down there and you have not had a chance to focus elsewhere on your body.

The ONLY reason kegels will have a negative effect on ejaculation control is if you do too many. Overtraining, in other words. If you do more than your BC can withstand, then yes, it will weaken, and if its continually put through this “abuse”, then of course it won’t get any better.

Seriously, don’t kegel for a month, to rest up, then search for the fourm for a decent kegel routine, maybe shorten it a little and work up to it, and after 3 months you’ll see a difference. A BIG difference.

The advices and comments from Mr. Happy about kegels are nothing less than perfect and complete. Congrats ! Magister dixit ! Springer240 said he didn’t overtraining kegels, (if I am not mistaken), if so, to rest up will not do difference to ejaculatory control. The causes of the problem should be searched in other place, like was suggested.

In my experience, kegels (yonder help PE exercises) can be used to increase and sustain erections during intercourse, and aren’t per se the trigger for ejaculation. However, there are men that can (apparently) use only kegels to achieve orgasm and ejaculation. This was exhibit in shows. But no one can see what they do in their minds, or the training they made before to do that.

Yeah, a lot of it is your emotional response to what’s going on too. I don’t have a terrible time with premature ejaculation, but it does happen to many of us from time to time, depending on how excited we are.

I’ve had minimal penile sensation for several years due to brain and CNS damage from MS, effecting the dermatome that controls the penis. Kegeling helps me get it up and keep it up. I’ve started doing them while hanging with weights. Is this good or not? I don’t know yet.

But I do know that sometimes I can last forever if I’m not too excited, other times (sadly like yesterday morning), I was so excited and had to have her right then…it was a bit disappointing, I lasted maybe 3 seconds. Is it the kegeling or the emotional reaction to being with the person I love more than life itself? I think it was my mental state.

I have two problems with the idea that overtraining is the culprit.

First, in order to overtrain this muscle group he’d have to be doing an excessive number of repetitions a day. I strongly doubt this is the case.

Second, he had weaker erections in the past and he has stated the kegels have improved his erections. It just doesn’t make sense that he is overtraining. His erections would be lacking not his ability to last.

The muscles on the pelvic floor will aid in the prevention of premature ejeculation, provided they are toned and the individual in question is properly attuned to his physiological responses.

Improper breathing, for example, is a typical cause of the problem of letting go too soon.

I don’t think he (or anyone) needs to cut out the kegels; unless they’re being done 24/7 they can only help you. It is a muscle group (PC BC & Ischio) that can take a fair amount of exercise without fear of exhaustion.

Nor would such muscular exhaustion cause ejaculatory problems - it would be more likely to cause reluctant erections.

Giving up kegels in this case is not the solution.

Figuring out how his body responds to stimulation and how to manage it is.

If the muscle has become weak, then it wouldnt take a lot to overtrain it, therefore he wouldn’t need to do excessive amounts.

Not sure where you’re coming from with that statement. The fact he improved erection strength is irrelevant to the ejaculation time.

Belly breathing is a helpful way to shift your concentration from your penis. It helps by relaxing your body so you don’t get so tense that you are bound to ejaculate any second. Heres how to do belly breathing, in a nutshell:

1. Sit in a chair with your back straight and your feet shoulder width apart.
2. Place both of your hands just below your belly button (thumbs pointed toward your chin).
3. When you inhale, concentrate on your lower abdomen. Take deep breaths so your hands expand with your navel.
4. Exhale with a light force.

Here’s a few things to remember. When you normally breathe, as you are right now, most of your air intake is focused in your upper lung. Belly breathing will feel different, but keep at it! It will become to feel natural after a few practice sessions. I do not know the physiology of belly breating but I can tell you that it has helped my ejaculatory control by leaps and bounds. The next time your are close to the edge, STOP, and try belly breathing. It will add to the length of time you can go without stopping.

I’m experiencing pee leaks after urination and thi morn I woke up with my pants wet :-| I think I overtrained myPC muscle doing strong and long lasting kegels plus edging plus sex.. What ca I do now? Will it come back to normal if I take a rest from training Pc muscle?
