Kegels are ruining my penis.

People always talk about how they kegel to clamp down on their ejaculations. For me, a kegel just makes the process of ejaculation even faster. Maybe my muscle isn’t strong enough yet, because people always advise to do this but I never know why. Reverse kegels are pointless for me, because I can still contract as I try to piss myself. Maybe if I get a stronger muscle, I would be able to stop the contractions, but I’m just not sure of anything right now.

Also, should I do a day on, day off routine of kegels? I’m under the impression that everyday is a bad idea.

If you believe kegels are hurting your erections then you probably shouldn’t do them at all.

I should also note, that I don’t think that a combination of kegel, reverse kegele (1 0 1 0 1 0) will help me. I read that the exact point is different for everyone, and I covered the ground well around my anus and testicles. I also tried sitting on a tennis ball there, so that my entire body weight was focused on not allowing ejaculation. Ejaculations still came out, although it was with less fluid. Orgasm was strong, but it still didn’t work for me.

Yeah, I read all the posts but seem to have missed the part that reverse kegels didn’t help. Sorry.

Is it possible that you’ve worked on PE too intensely? Is it possible that there is some circulatory problem causing you to have ED?

Perhaps it’s time to see a physician and look into getting cialis, viagra, or levitra? Then you may be able to have erections without kegeling, last longer without reverse kegeling and enjoy your sex life more.

Tennis ball eh? That must’ve felt a little weird. Worse comes to worse, you don’t have to do kegals. Sure, some people talk about their benefits, but that doesn’t seem to be your case. Maybe try taking a few weeks off from kegels and see how if that has any effect.

The thread title says that Kegels are ruining my penis. If you want me to be exact, kegels are giving me world competition records of ejaculation. I’m getting a better erection, but it’s ruining it because what’s the point if it’s all over in seconds?

littlehobo, as far as intense PE, I have a routine, but I’m only doing 25% of it. What I mean, is if it calls for 4 minutes, I only do 1. After 2 weeks, I will make it 2. After 8 weeks, I will be doing the entire routine. I doubt that this may be the problem. I went overboard, doing more than the newbie routine suggested 4 months ago, and my erections didn’t suffer.

MrClyde, I initially did take a few weeks off of kegels. I noticed almost an immediate decline in erection strength, and that’s what I wanted because I was jelqing at too much erection. Well, now it’s too low so I wanted to raise it again. I had the same problem with kegels before, but it seems like it came back worse, if that’s even possible. I feel like I need to do kegels, because erections are improving and my penis barely gets hard by itself, and I’m not ready to become dependent on drugs yet, because I’m not even 20, and I just want there to be a clear, cut answer. One thing I’ve learned so far, is that there usually isn’t a clear cut answer in PE.

One of the main things I addressed as I moved forwards and away from quick cumming was my mental fantasies. It turns out that my fantasies worked a little too well. HOWEVER, if you really get into P.E. deeply and really start to explore the anatomy, physiology, and potential of your sexual works you may find (like I have) that kegels (if you keep them up) will eventually give you a kind of “deep strengthening” that causes your “tightly wound” feeling (makes you cum quickly) to cede to a “deeply strong” feeling wherein your tool feels like a rock hard love muscle that is under your complete control.

You sound to be in the early phases of your penile development…kind of “hitting the wall” with your exercises. It’s natural. I say just stick with it, be patient, and remember that with familiarity, routine, and strengthening come CONTROL. Try not to get into mentally down states. Accept temporary setbacks. That you are asking questions is proof of one thing- you’ve got more to learn- and certainly, doing sustained PE is one hell of a way of learning more about your sexual response and eventually bringing it under your complete control.

I vote for sticking with the kegels.

Once you get your muscles trained sufficiently, that kind of “pushing you over the edge twitchy kegel-ey” feeling will be replaced by an ability to clamp down on your kegel muscles with a determined and focused strength that shuts down the orgasmic impulse like turning off a valve with your hand….and when you get there brother, all of your former woes will seem like they’re a million miles away (as will your sex partner’s when you’re screwing her eyeballs out non-stop for an hour or so on end!!!!)

I feel your pain. I’ve been unable to get it up before myself. Penis health exercises are what led me to PE in the first place. Seriously, see a doc and look into getting some pharmacological assistance. Because like you already posted, it’s no good to have a bigger penis if you can’t use it. Stopping kegels or getting the muscle even stronger one or the other may be the answer. But if you can’t get it up without them, some medication may help out. Another thing to consider is getting a cock ring. One of the soft ones that you can fit around your penis and scrotum. They can really be a big help in getting it up, keeping it up, and even delaying ejaculation.

I’m gonna ride the storm out to as far as April. If 3 months of exercises doesn’t fix this, then I decide what I want to do from there.

My last couple questions are about frequency.

How often should I do my kegel routines? If every other day, should I do it on the same day as my PE routine or on the off day?

As far as kegels ruining your penis …

It’s total bullshit.

I’m not saying you aren’t having a problem, but kegels aren’t the source of it.

You are physically able to kegel every single day - several times a day if that’s your pleasure - without injury or adverse side-effects.

My guess is your problem has arisen (so to speak) as a side-effect from the increased intensity of your erection which has had the effect of awakening sensitivity previously unavailable.

This is good.

Now you have to retrain your response to that sensitivity. Which probably means going slowly - very slowly - for a while, until you understand what you are doing.

In the book The Multi-Orgasmic Man there is some time devoted to the idea of retraining our sexual responses. One of the key elements has to with recognizing when the repsonse is about to become “the point of no return” and dialing it back. Interestingly, the kegel and reverse kegel are both fundamental tools to retraining that response, along with breathing and energy direction, etc.. But with any tool, you have to use it properly.

My guess is you are used to certain things and developed habits that allow getting off at a lower erection level. Now that your erection level has improved those habits are too intense, so you lose control.

Don’t blame kegels. Don’t even look at this as a problem. Instead view this as a turning point in your sexual development, a period of adjustment. Give yourself a break.

You should kegel every day for optimum penile health. Now that your penis is healthier you need to relearn how to use it.

Good post wantsmore, you even helped me out a bit with your explanation. Springer240, some people on the site recommend that you do kegels everyday to really condition your BC muscle. That seems like a bit of overkill though. I recommend doing them every time you do a PE routine so you give your BC muscle adequate time to rest, which is the most important aspect of conditioning any muscle.
