Does it matter if you have an erection while doing kegels? If so would be effects be positive or negative?

It makes no major difference. I would do your main kegels flaccid, but you can also combine kegels with jelqs, so you are doing them partially erect, and you can do kegels and reverse kegels fully erect to see what effects they have on your ‘staying power’.

Best of all, do them erect, flaccid, hard and quick, slowly and hold them; in other words, you are training a muscle, so every variant works it slightly differently and can be beneficial.


Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. And the ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth.

I only do them hard, the way I see it - the force required to expand the penis beyond 100% erection is like resistance training which quickly fatigues and strengthens the PC (BC?) muscle.

I recommend that Newbies do them non-erect, 50 a day - per the Newbie Routine.

This seems to have only beneficial effects.

When clamping or doing manual clamping (Uli’s) the Kegel is key in terms of your ability to stay in the ‘sweet spot’ of almost, but not quite fully erect. There is some thought that it is similarly beneficial for jelqing as well. I would agree. But this should not be counted toward the daily recommendation of the Newbie Routine, if you follow.

But the basic exercise, should be non-erect.

Start: BPEL: 5 inches, EG:4.5 inches, NBPEL: 4.5 inches

Goal: BPEL: 6 inches, EG: 5 inches. NBPEL: 5.5 inches.Start Date 22nd Feb 2009.

What else is there to do when sat at red traffic lights? :)

Or stood in a queue at the bank?

Or when your boss is nagging you and you want to resist telling them where to get off?

Kegels can be done anywhere, anytime, if you don’t have a kegel session set aside.
