Kegels and anus/stomach tensing

Does anyone really manage to avoid tensing the anus while doing kegels? I can never quite seem to avoid tensing the anus muscles, the tensing is still there to some degree. Also, if I want to do a really hard kegel, it seems I also tense my stomach muscles. Seems easier to do powerful contractions this way.

Anyone here manage to completely isolate the kegel muscle and contract it real hard without using the muscles in the anus or stomach? If so, did it take a lot of work?

For me, if you sit down and lean back when doing kegels, it isolates the kegel muscle. The rest of the time there is contraction other places. It doesnt really matter because your still working out the primary muscle.

Yea, you get better at that fairly quickly.

I agree with kingkong; if you sit down you can contract the muscle alone.

Also, I find I can only contract the BC muscle for a short time without contracting other muscles. If I try going for a 3-4 second squeeze, I end up contracting the anus and abdomen. But I’m still a beginner.

Whilst i have good control over isolating the muscles, I always thought it was good practice to flex the anus, as it gives greater control in holding back ejaculation from personal experience. What are your thoughts?
